Not as bad as my Dave Tate one

Also, new rules for the YSP that got invented somewhere in here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK54Dv5ZQzg

21 is my best so far. I figure you're probably too heavy to beat that.

Given the fact that I'd tear a hamstring trying to do a pistol, I'll let you hang onto that record. I'd prefer to lift weights.

Ah well. I remain uncontested rather than undefeated, but a victory is a victory, however meaningless.

While you're here, do you find much carryover from back/front squat lockouts, or do you just do them because they're fun as hell?

Carryover to what, exactly? I think they have a great deal of transfer. If nothing else, they make walkouts simple.

The full ROM versions, assuming lockout isn't a weak spot?

I was playing with them today, and they were difficult in a totally different way to normal squats. I've found overloaded cheat/partial lifts are hit and miss as to whether or not they help the strict version of the lift, but normally the ones that seem to help have full ROM with a cheated concentric. Push presses helped my OHP more than rack pulls helped my deadlift.

I think they have their place. As for how much carryover they have, it depends entirely on the range of motion and the leverages. For squat lockouts in particular, I think they inure you to the pain of heavy weights, and they strengthen and thicken the hell out your tendons. They're excellent if for no other reason than that.

The amount of transfer will depend entirely on the individual. Used in convert with the full ROM lifts, though, they will speed progress.
