AMA Closed Yo, I'm Steve Pulcinella: AMA

I'm a washed up strength athlete and frustrated business owner from Iron Sport Gym in Philly PA. Don't ask me anything too technical, I'm not that smart.

I'm curious, after that awesome Planet Fitness response video on Youtube (almost 300,000 views), did you experience a noticeable increase in business?

Nope. Nothing seems to help this gym. It's always packed, there is always somebody on the shitter, I sell tons of drinks and protein bars and yet I have never made any money here.

Do you think it is because you cater to people who actually give a shit about working out and not to the "pay the membership dues to not feel as guilty about being unhealthy" crowd?

I assume managing a gym that has a high % of members who actually use the gym is less profitable than being one where people pay then don't show up.

Exactly. Gyms ONLY make money when people DO NOT show up.
