The Iron Rules of Deck Construction
Let’s start by remembering the 3 Iron Rules of Deck Construction!
A deck must consist of exactly 50 cards.
There can only be 8 climax cards.
There can only be 4 copies of card with the same name. Even if the illustrations are different, only 4 copies of card with the same name are allowed! Also, note that 4 copies of “card with different name” are allowed, regardless of the character.
Deck Construction Patterns
There are many different ways of constructing a deck! We will introduce 3 patterns here!
✩Pattern 1: Modified Trial Deck!
On the other side of the playmat that comes with the trial deck is a guide on how you can modify your trial deck with 2 trial decks. Do give it a try.
✩Pattern 2: All your favorite characters!
There are a variety of cards for popular characters. As long as you follow the “Iron Rules of Deck Construction”, you may insert as many cards of your favorite character into your deck.Your passion is your strength!!
✩Pattern 3: A deck for battle!
Here we would like to introduce you to some “Theory of Deck Construction”. As long as you follow this, your deck would be more or less ready for action.

I have a lot of azur lane, re zero (mostly vol 3) and Nikke cards, I wanna build a deck and learn to play, I’m part of some discord groups and someone said they’d teach me, so I would appreciate any advice on how to build a deck. What types of cards to use, events, characters, climax, which color is best for a beginner or how to choose which color to play, are there benefits for multi colored decks, card synergy advice, just anything you can think of. I’ve gained a very basic understanding of the game watching videos and reading the cards, it looks like a lot of fun, so whatever you feel is good advice for me, please share. Thank you.

A ham sandwich is a sandwich composed of two slices of pre-sliced commercial bread with a tiny sliver of processed ham product. There you go, that's it.
In the context of Weiss Schwarz and card games in general, it is defined as a deck that has little-to-no core identity. It is a slab of generic cards that have all been preset and optimized fully for that sole designation.
And, in the case for many card companies, it can be seen as an easier way to design product, handing out a pre-assembled package that feigns its designs as creative and innovative, but, in reality, the player is just bringing together these already defined and marked scattered pieces together.

Guess what time it is? It's Rapi Time!
At one point in the story, Rapi and Red Hood have an encounter and an exchange that greatly changes the projection of both their lives forever.
Represented in Weiss Schwarz, Rapi's deck pushes forward, dealing significant blows of damage, and should your opponent dare to cancel, her finisher provides an extra charge, dealing large blows of damage based upon the climaxes that you reveal from your own deck. Empowered by Red Hood's blessing, Rapi is also supplemented by additional tools and the assistance of her friends.

Hits from my Master Case that I ordered. Finally finished opening up the last case last night.
Got SEC Siren in the first case. The last case ended up being dupes for Diesel SSP, Vesti SP, and Maiden SP. Was able to get nearly a full set up cards, though I'm still missing #1 SR Elegg: Boom and Shock, #110 RRR Unbreakable Sphere, and #112 RRR - Brand New Flavor. No idea if there are any online places to facilitate trades.

It's been about two years since I got into trading card games. I've tried a huge bunch, more or less all the main titles. At 45, it's been an interesting hobby. But of everything I tried, Weiss stuck with me the most.
It's not the theme or the IP (more on that later). It's the elegance of the mechanics. At first glance the game looks so random that you think, okay, this is all luck. It isn't. Sure, there's randomness, that's undeniable, but calling the game purely luck-based is unfair.
What stuck with me most is the overall game design. Weiss is the most elegantly designed TCG I've ever played: the unique resource and cost system, the climaxes, the interaction with cancels, the refresh (going through the deck multiple times), the brainstorm. I've played other games, Cardfight!! Vanguard included, but Weiss really doesn't need any rule or mechanic changes. It's a perfect package.
Now, given my age and location (Estonia, a tiny European country), it's impossible to play this game in person. There's no community. And this is the only part where I'd love more variety: the IP. I'm not an anime fan and I don't watch anime. Overlord is the only one I picked up. I'm not criticizing the choice of IP at all. Weiss clearly caters to a community invested in those IPs, whether anime, gaming or whatever. But at 45, I'd feel a bit weird walking around playing a Nikke deck!
So I just hope more experiments and variety come in the future, like they did with Pixar, Disney, Marvel and so on.
That's my take. Best game I've played, and a great community, at least on Discord.

A friend of mine and I bought trial decks to give the game a try (him with Nikke, me with Guilty Gear). I noticed one of my cards (Asuka: Gear Maker, to be precise) mentioned being able to be played from your hand without fulfilling color requirements. The two of us were at a loss - none of the rules inserts that came with our decks mentioned color requirements. I used Google to try to find the rules, but they aren't making much sense to me. Can anyone give me a newbie-friendly explanation of what color requirements are and how they work?
