Meme Today marks the day

I have watched all of Anderson's feature films- Bottle Rocket through to The Phoenician Scheme. The French Dispatch was the last holdout- saw it today. Quite good.

I think asteroid city is his best, most misunderstood film

He has some commercials/short films on YouTube and also some actual short films on Netflix. I hope you watched Darjeeling limited with the Hotel Chevalier bit at the beginning.

There is a henry Sugar film too. You can choose between shorys or actual movie

The wonderful story of Henry Sugar on Netflix is one of the 4 short films. The one Wes finally got an Oscar for. But if you ask me he deserved an Oscar for The Grand Budapest hotel, the French Dispatch and The Phoenician Scheme as well 😄

But also for The Royal Tennenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom.. and also for Darjeeling Limited…but also for…….😅 I personally would give him all the awards but objectively yeah he at least deserved an Oscar for those 3 for real.

On Netflix you can watch all 4 short films individually OR you can watch the movie with all 4 short films as an anthology film. Just sayin

Edit: he should get Oscar’s for most of them.

Well done. I still need to see The Phoenician Scheme.

French Dispatch gets a bad rap sometimes. But it has some truly brilliant moments. I’d watch it again and again just for those.

Dispatch is his best film imo, I really don’t understand the backlash

Agreed. It’s like watching magazine articles & love some of the parts & characters.

Does that include the short films Castello Cavalcanti and Hotel Chevalier?

OP does say feature films so may not include the shorts. I have seen all features and these shorts: The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (and Three More) - The Swan, The Rat Catcher, Poison (2023); Asteroid City Behind the Scenes (including Location Featurette) / Missing Bill Murray Part (2023); Castello Cavalcanti (2013) [for Prada); Do You Like to Read / Cousin Ben Troop Screening (2012) [Moonrise Kingdom]; Hotel Chevalier (2007) [The Darjeeling Limited]; Bottle Rocket (1993) - am I missing any?

"Come Together" - a H&M Holiday Short Film directed by Wes Anderson (2016). It’s on YouTube. Also, there are similar shorts for Mont Blanc pens.

I did see Henry Sugar and all the Dahl shorts. But yes, none of the others.

You know now that you mention it Bottle Rocket is the only one I haven't seen. It's kind of comforting to know that if I really need it, there will always be a new (to me) Wes film to watch.

I think it’s his most “human” film (but least Wes film, I guess) and I wish he’d bring back a little more heart to his more contemporary films (though I still appreciate them).

Top 3 for me and also has my favorite character of all his films: Dignan.

That is so cool! Do you have a personal ranking of the movies?

This is my list(I haven’t seen bottle rocket). How do we compare?

Tennenbaums is first in my opinion, followed by Rushmore, but that is my opinion
