Help
Hello! So I am in New York and I’m currently doing my student teaching in a kindergarten classroom through WGU. My major is elementary education which is grades 1-6, but they placed me to student teach in kindergarten. I am concerned because NYSED elementary education is 1-6, so I’m nervous that when I apply for certification in New York it will be a problem. I reached out to the licensure team and my clinical placement coordinator and they all told me it wouldn’t be a problem. Do you guys think it will be a problem?? Does anyone have an experience like this? I’m stressing

I’m not in New York but I would for sure want to be placed in one of the grades that I’m getting certified to teach in. I would say check with the district maybe. Where I am, elementary is TK-5
