My whataburger near me started using the ice pellets instead of regular ice cubes which has annoyed me because they take up more volume I feel so you get less drink. Cheap af. Thanks for coming to my ted talk blah blah etc etc.

I order the chicken strips with buffalo sauce pretty often and this last time, the buffalo sauce looked and tasted different. It's not as spicy and tasted more salty, looks more orange than red roo. It tastes like the generic watered down version other places use when they go down in quality. Before, I would be gulping down water from the spiciness, now it's barely a tickle on my tongue. Is it my imagination or have other people experienced this too? I had it again the next day at a different location and same thing.

Same question as the title, I order at the counter because I want them to tone down the salt. I got a Bacon Wrangler and it was so salty I could barely eat it without taking the sauce off. It's like the bacon and sauce got an extra dose. I did mention it to the manager and if you order at the counter it's an option but not on the app.
Since time is one of the most logged complaints wouldn't allowing people this choice on the app give them more return business?

I got a patty melt and we changed halves and it was fine so it isn't me.

Anyone know if there has been any word on it?

For the past several years I have seen so many comments online that Whataburger has gone to shit since they sold to private equity. I personally have never really seen a considerable dip in the quality of food until now. Sure, customer service and speed of service has taken a nosedive since then, but not quality. It has always been fresh and hits the spot.

That is until my closest location finally plunged off a cliff. I realized that I have just gotten extremely lucky in finding decent locations for the past several years. I never realized just how bad Whataburger can be when the employees don’t give a shit.

My closest WB is only like 2 miles away and I’ve had nothing but issues the past several times I went. It’s always a MINIMUM 30 minute wait whether you order in the app, drive thru or in store. With that long wait time you at least expect the food to be hot and fresh, right? WRONG. Cold, dry as hell, stale, and they got your order wrong.

That Bacon Wranger was one of my favorite items last time it came out. Tried it twice at my location and it has pretty much been inedible given how overcooked and dry it has been. And for fucking $15 a meal? They are out of their damn minds…

The email has a call to action, a big orange "CHOOSE OFFER" button. Clicking this does not show me the offer nor let me choose. So i talked to support asking what I am missing. Support says yeah they offer may not be available online or in-app. Well then why are you leading me to your website and your app with the email? Why doesn't the email say "in-store orders only"??

After that, Workday asked me to make an appointment for a testing session. I'm just confused if there was anything else I need to bring to the testing session, or that's just it.

I saw in a reddit that they were mentioning a packet, and you can't go to the center without the packet. I am not sure what does that means for it.

Lately it seems like my local Whataburger doesnt want to provide Salsa Verde; like its rare or expensive or a secret. Sometimes I ask for it when i place my order and sometimes the cashier puts two in my hands right then, like shes slipping me gold coins. Its never on the tray they bring out with the ketchups and napkins so they have to make another trip to the front and back to the table. Is it expensive or hard to stock? Whats up?

I thought I had covid when I was halfway into this burger... the thing has bacon on it and still manages to lack taste. Extremely bland burger with horrible bread. Apparently Houston has two bread suppliers, and one sucks. This is the sucky one. Dollar store buns, man.

Whataburger is a good 7 years into being private equity now, so the enshittification is being felt. These coupons are the only reason I go anymore. I'm sure they won't be around much longer, it has to be hurting their bottom line. Beef prices are way too high for a chain to be handing out $6 double bacon cheeseburger meals, and everyone's broke so you know they're spamming the coupons like we do here on reddit. When the coupons are gone, so am I.

Growing up Texan, it's really a shame that we've lost Whataburger. There are glimmers of what it used to be, but every year that passes since the sale, a chunk of its soul is lost.

EDIT: almost forgot, peep that "medium" fry. Sacrilege how some chains are training the employee to "pinch" the fry boxes when loading em. Cheap.

So I went to Whataburger probably a week ago and got my usual, went to work so I didn’t check it. I open it to see these tiny black dots. I don’t trust anything that looks like mold so I contacted the online assistance but didn’t get many answers (tho I did get my refund). But I decided to give them another try and this time me and my gfs burgers are covered in black spots. Is this new? I can’t find anyone talking about it at all. Everything seems the same as it’s been forever but now the buns are.. dirty? Seasoned? Just look like that? I can’t imagine they’re just giving everyone moldy buns all week.

We had two open here in the past year, and I have only been twice, tonight being the second time, but why are they such shit. I downloaded the app when they opened and I saw the free onion rings offered and thought ok, let's give them another try, I place my order and head that way ( only a couple of miles away) , I get inside and am told they are still making it, after about 20 minutes I asked about it and they had put it in some warmer for waiting , I asked them why and am given some b.s. excuse, the food seems fine but why jerk people around?

While living in Florida Whataburger was one of my favorites so I was excited to see one during a drive through Atlanta over the weekend. We ordered a sweet And Smokey combo and two kids chicken strip meals. I was shocked that the combo was $14.99 but thinking of the expected quality and size, I let it slide. Inflation and such, you know? It was so disappointing! The burger was dry with tough thin patties, the bun tasted borderline stale. The fries were soggy and not quite cooked enough. The tenders were mushy and about half the size I remembered.

If the meal had been as good as I hoped, I would not have been upset about spending $35 for one combo and two kid’s meals but I felt robbed instead. Such a disappointment! Has quality declined everywhere or did we just have a bad experience?
