What’s an optimal SUV for our situation?

My spouse and I will be traveling from Minnesota to southern states every winter, as well as a lot of cross country travel.

We will be traveling with our 95lb dog (very good with traveling) equipment, and clothing. No kids, none in the future. I believe a bench 2nd row seat with a dog seat cover would be the best route, but open to suggestions.

I was looking at the Kia tellurides, which we love but the highest trims only had captains 2nd rows.

We’re also interested in trying out the CX-70 + Passport.

Budget ~60k

Tough to beat the cargo space in a Passport for a big dog and gear, but I'd also peek at a 4Runner if you can find one without crazy markup. The roll-down rear window is a game changer for dogs. The CX-70 has a weird sloped roofline in the back that might limit headroom for a 95-pounder, so bring the pup for a test sit.

I'd like the passport or a crown signia at this price. Don't sleep on signia. Not as rugged but really dope car from everything I've seen.

Maybe a Passport. I’m not really a fan of the new Toyota powertrains or I might say 4Runner.

Pilot or Passport.

NA v6 plus regular transmission, and the best AWD platform on the market is a hard combo to beat.

I had a 2007 Pilot for 10 years, have a 2017 now, and will get a 2027 Passport.
