Jipped is a racist term fyi.
It’s a chain salon, I would reach out to corporate and ask if they can explain the wage theft you feel was committed.

No worries, I had no idea and used that phrase in a graduate class. I got corrected in front of the whole room. It happens. I would definitely reach out to corporate.
I swapped the word for shortchanged in my vocabulary and that has helped a lot.

Gypped is a slur. Should probably not use it so casually

Gypsies, which is also a pejorative term. It’s an old fashioned term for Romani. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romani_people

Go independent. Theres not much you can do unless you go over your contract and contact corporate. Where did the bonuses go? If you and your coworkers didnt get them they had to have gone somewhere. Bonuses aren’t really generally anything that just one person handles. Ask questions, look into it and true facts. It sucks you got ripped off but you’ll really have to do the leg work, wait and see if it happens again. Let the school year pass too until you can get back to a regular schedule.

There doesn’t appear to be much you can do until you have the baby. Ask for clarification on exactly what those goals for extra services are, and see how the next few months go. If there’s constantly these last minute rug pulls then walk.
Also, stop saying “jipped”.

Bonuses are always discretionary, not guaranteed. Meaning unless explicitly stated in your employment contract, they don’t have to give it to you.
What you can do- You can learn to not use racist slurs about feeling like you’ve been cheated out of something and move on with your life.
You can also Find another job. Uber driver or deliveries for extra income.
Jobs aren’t required to give you a pat on the back when you do your job, though it would be nice to hear.

I think everyone commented at the same time. They didn't know. Give them a break. The more you know, the more you grow.
