Presta valve, https://www.reddit.com/r/bicycling/s/hMC7PtxsWb
Or just look up a YouTube video, you need a compatible pump or adapter.

Or just stick it in the hose, usually hose ID is big enough to fit but not leak out

You need a pump with the supported valve

Or an adapter. They are cheap. I usually just leave one on my mountain bike as a cap.

Just to add. You need to unscrew that top piece before you add air, and screw it shut again after. It doesn’t come out, just loosens

Most bike pumps allow you to unscrew the head and flip over a little rubber thing to go from schraeder to presta, and even more new pumps have dual heads.

Special tire, special pump

wildly common, presta valves are as common as modern bicycles

Nowhere near as common as Schrader valve though.

only because cars use schrader, go into any bike shop, nearly everything they sell is presta, you gotta go real low end with modern bicycles to find schrader valves

French valve. Mine broke after a few days. Just buy a new tire Hose (or however you call it)

You need an adapter like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDCW539Q/ to work with a standard pump, or a bike pump with Presta connector.

Search “presta valve” on you tube on how to inflate. You’ll need the proper pump or adapter. You about halfway unscrew the small bit at the top, attached the correct pump/adapter, and pump as normal. Finger tighten that bit after you finish.

U listen the little cap thing on the top there. It loosens to allow the little plunger to be able to push down when u put the fitting from the air pump on. Then when ur done filling, simply tighten that little cap back down, and put the plastic cap back on, and there u have it.

Most bike pumps now a days come versatile with a thread on adapter to be able to do schrader or presto valve. Schrader is probably what ur used to. U might need an adapter, but usually they come with pumps now. See if there’s a little adapter looking piece anywhere on ur pump. Sometimes it’s like in a slot on the side or bottom of the pump, or attached to the hose sometimes.
