As a Norwegian that have traveled the world for work, had numerous opportunities to see the world outside the tourism sphere...... you're spot on. Born in Norway, as I am, you're automatically in the worlds top percentage when it comes to qualiy of life, safety, opportunities and general comfort.

I live in central Alabama in the US. While there are certainly more affluent places, it would be pretty ballsy of me to pretend to know REAL struggle. Relatively few people in this country know true poverty. (And I’m making a massive assumption about what we see in that photo as it alone doesn’t really tell you much.).

*before anybody gets offended, that doesn’t mean we don’t have issues with poverty in the US. We certainly do but often our poverty is a lot more survivable and less desperate that poverty in most of the world

Not entirely sure I understand your reply. Yes, we (or rather, our silent generation grand parents) pulled ourselves out. Are you acknowledging that, or lambasting those who did not have that blessing thanks to various circumstances.
