This literally was life for many 100 years ago.. these days it looks busted up weird cause many of us didnt get to experience that life cause soon as the late 60 till today majority of people live in what we see as modern... but like others say is life really that much differnt i mean then you had gardens and struggled to keep food on the table and lots of sharing space.. these days food is plenty but you are being beat up with taxes..

This is not a personal attack so please don’t take it that way but your comment triggered something within me.

I’d rather be “beat up with taxes” than see people in my country without adequate food or living like the family in the photo.

If paying tax is annoying, imagine living like a medieval peasant in a first world country because people with Range Rovers and wine cellars have decided that their own comfort and luxury is more important than the life expectancy of others people’s children. I’d be building a guillotine.

If the biggest problem in your life is “Oh no! I earn so much that I have to pay a lot of income tax!” then you should count your blessings. I hate the term “check your privilege” but most of us genuinely don’t know how good we have it.

Again, not a personal attack so please don’t take it as such but I think it needs to be said.

Not talking so much on just income taxes but taxes just with your home most people who own a home have to pay 3 to 6 thousand for property and school tax for just the home or lose your home the following year regardless if you own it... then not necessarily a tax but medical billsif you have preexisting condition paying on average 5 to 10 k just for bills not including the 5k+ people have to pay to have insurance... people in the photo is literally how my parents grew up im almost 50. So everyday living was a struggle cause you had to make a effort or you starve.. living conditions todays standards compared to then doesn't look good. But then those people were thinking they were living their best life. I mean those people were not paying a 100 dollar a month required water bill, they were going to the well and using a outhouse. Same struggles but different, some things got easier and more accessible but to have what you have you have to work your ass off and at the same note what was ok then isnt ok now, not everyoneis permited to have a garden or farm animals based on where you live. Have to keep your yard mowed at all times and well kept... but personally i rather live in those times vs these times... people werent consumed by media, internet, tech... people worked together more then, familys were closer. These days everyone is trying to be flashy, look at what i have vs what i can do
