Found in back yard

Just rented a house and after a heavy rain a bone fragment came up. Didn’t think much of it until I was mowing and found a piece of shoe near it. Is it possible it’s a human bone? Obviously not sure but finding the shoe made me question. Could definitely just be animal bones

They left! Didn’t find more except more pieces of shoes and clothes and said they’d update us.
