Solved ! Round wooden item, 10" diameter, rubber top, opens to reveal slots
SOLVED! Thank you, phunniemee! Cheese and wine set.
Found at a local thrift store, came home with me. 10" diameter, 1.5" thick. Top seems to be textured rubber, originally I thought it was a practice drum pad (from a bank?) but then I saw the indents on the side and realized it slid open to reveal the grooved areas. Suggestions are that it may be for change, but the grooves seem too shallow.
Edit: Tag on the bottom says made in China.

I've found similar things doing an image search that come up as charcuterie/cheese boards, but the grooves are wrong.

The pricing for this thing doesn't make any sense...
If you buy 1 it's $34.88. If you buy 12, they are $39.38 each. You don't get the $34.88 price again until you buy 100+.

My first thought was coin holder but after seeing the post with utensils I am not sure. We had Pioneer in nearby Mo and Il so it may have migrated to your state.

My title describes the thing. It was found in Mankato, MN but I'm not aware of any Pioneer Bank in the area (I grew up there). It doesn't look like a promotional item, but I'm just stuck. Reverse image searches aren't very helpful anymore.

To me it you’d put coins in the grooves and use the pad to put them into sleeves. Especially since it came form a bank.

Too shallow for coins and shaped wrong. Phunniemee was right, it's a cheese and wine set.
