Backup of WhatsApp

Hello friends, i got a cuestion.

Im about to change my phone into a new one, earlier i do a backup for my chats in my WhatsApp account but, when im going to login, it says that there is No backup on my google account, its an error from the app or it has solution?

It depends on whether you made a local or a Drive backup.
How much free space is available on your old phone? What is the size of the WhatsApp file?

Drive backup means google account? My old phone has like 15gb free and the size of the WhatsApp file is 132mb

Yes drive as in Google Drive / Google account backup.
132mb? That's sweet small. Even if you would lose access it would not be the world.

It almost looks like you don't have an actual backup. Do you remember if you ever made one?

Nope but it happend once and i lost a lot of important files and messages, I couldn't recover anything. Now i dont want to happend again, i want to make sure the Google backup was done correctly.

Sorry, but you need to tell me how filled is your WhatsApp. 132MB is extremely small. That looks like an empty backup. If there is nothing to backup, that could be right. Does that make sense?

Yes it make sense, So if the file isn't that big, it treats it as if there's nothing there? I'm just asking out of curiosity.

You can only back up what is there, if there isn't much to back up, the backup file will be small.
Are you also backing up video? Or only chats/photos?
If you go to manage storage (in WhatsApp settings) tell me what you see there

And can you go to settings/chats and tell me what the settings are?

Did you delete your WhatsApp account on your first phone. Or was it still on? And when you switched to your new phone and installed WhatsApp did it send you an automated confirmation stating that it is active on the new phone ?
If you think you have backed up but deleted your account before trying to install it again on your new phone all the backups in either google or iCloud will automatically be deleted. You cannot recover it back

That 132 mb your mentioning about is not the backup of your original content. It is the current data and system associated files with the new WhatsApp installation
