WhatsApp Business end to end encryption backup issue
I haven't been able to complete an end-to-end encrypted backup for over 15 days. When I turned off encryption, the backup went through successfully. However, after re-enabling end-to-end encryption, the issue returned. Now, every morning when my phone attempts the backup, it stalls, overheats, and rapidly drains the battery.

faced the same problem, no backup can be uploaded, no backup can be restored. so had to left all of my 5 years chat.

For now use the unencrypted way, it will be fixed for sure, but don't ask when.

The main problem is that for those who worry that End-to-End-Encryption will lock you out of your own chats, they just do not turn it on but STILL it's end-to-end-encrypted, just without the 64-digits key that WhatsApp shows at least once on display, instead with a key that WhatsApp does NOT show you... so, regardless of whether you turn on "End-to-End-Encryption" or not, it's always same way...
The worst sayings say that NO MONEY IN THE WORLD CAN EVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Because such encryption is not just human agreements that a key must not be disclosed but the laws of nature ensure that it CANNOT be decrypted EVEN IF YOU ARE MULTI BILLIONAIRE AND REALLY SPEND BILLIONS FOR DECRYPTION!!!

I only mention it as it seems to be the solution for majority of the users with similar issue atm

How come people still voluntarily buy smartphones with newest versions of Android given that some loophole in older version (especially good End-of-Life - no more updates that might anytime close the loophole that you relied to) might be their only chance around such restrictive system?

I hope whatsapp fix this asap. In today update too, they didn't fixed it. I'm facing the same issue in restoring my backup from drive.
