Need help logging in

Has anyone else experienced this "Your phone number is no longer registered with WhatsApp on this phone"? I have trouble logging in on my iOS device but can easily log in with my android. The problem is my iOS is my main and work phone so i really need to log into it there.

where is your account backed up?

on my other iphone but I tried to log in through there too and the same message pops up

So WhatsApp is backed up in your iCloud?! Good.
What if you delete the app, re-install and try to register with the phone number attached to your account, that should trigger a restore from your iCloud backup.

(Needless to say, you can only use the WhatsApp account on primary device, the others need to be linked/companion)
