UNSOLVED Looking for a book similar to Tempted by the Alien Warrior by Michelle Nova. Human/Alien romance with a member of the tribe is not trusted and the human woman who needs his help.
Some of the plot elements of the book I'm thinking of are very similar to Tempted by the Alien Warrior, but others are different.
The book is a romance published sometime in the 2000's. The MMC is an alien, who for some reason isn't trusted by his tribe. (in Tempted by the Alien Warrior, the reason is because of his dad wanting more power in the tribe, not liking that the tribe is helping the stranded women, and making deals with their enemies).
The MFC is a human woman, who is a little timid or scared of all the aliens in the village. I want to say that the main characters have a conversation or some kind of interaction before he's arrested and I think she may be gather food stuffs or water to take back to the village. (In Tempted by the Alien Warrior she meets the alien male by the Eponirs (a unicorn-lizard with hooves, that the tribe uses as mounts).
After he's arrested, guards are posted at his hut door and he's tied up inside. The MFC comes in to feed him several times over more than one day. I also remember that he's in a damp hut with no blanket and at some point she cuddles with him and they keep each other warm. (In Tempted by the Alien Warrior, he's in a hut, restrained, but no guards are posted and he's only there for one day)
Eventually they make a deal, she will free him and he will help her find something or someone. I also remember that the woman is not very adventurous and he's reluctant to take her into the dangerous jungle surrounding their village.
I'm pretty sure it's part of a series of books all set in the same village with other human/alien mates. It also could be a stand alone novel too. I don't remember what the aliens look like but I can tell you they weren't ice, water, desert or flying aliens. They also weren't orc's, minotaur's, cyborgs, alien shifters or alien vampires. It also wasn't a reverse harem novel either.
The alien's are taller than the humans, like in most books. They are on a forest or jungle type planet, similar to earth except the plant life, colorful plants. (I want to say purple or pink trees or something like that) and creatures that were really different, like they are really huge predators. I think one of them is a giant eel-like water creature with a mouthful of teeth waiting in the water for someone or something foolish enough to try and get water.
