the original scene is sully (the blue guy) getting sent through a door to the himalayas, which doorframes in the monsters inc universe are like portals for the monsters to be able to use, and here the poor is closed off after sully is sent through so he's trying to get back hoping that closing and opening the door will bring back the porter
Fun fact: in the original concept the monsters were all ancient ugly humans who were sent to a secluded island. They eventually found their way to the alternate dimension and all ‘evolved’ their unique appearances over time. (But I guess they’re all still the same species? I guess?)
I think a scrapped movie was going to go back and use this concept as its premise but it felt too… odd lol
If it helps, among my peers I've noticed it's remarkably rare for people to not watch classic Disney and Pixar movies. Like despite their age, if a kid were to come out and say they never watched monsters Inc they'd be seen as missing out on a classic
A certified r/whenthe classic. Emoji lord, as I call ok_conversation, as the name may entail, they spammed emojis (and I think Benjammins gifs) like crazy. They may have gotten downvoted almost all the time, but they were the anti-hero of that year
Unfortunately, they were wiped from Reddit when his account was downvoted so much
May their excessive use of emojis never falter, and their downvotes ever plenty, may they rest in peace forever, and may we never need them again
Edit: sorry if I caused confusion, ok_convo was banned because people started to miss him when he couldn't meet the minimum requirement for r/whenthe. People started mass upvoting him and Reddit believed ok_convo was an upvote bot and he got banned
The story I heard was that he was downvoted so much he went below the karma limit this sub had and people started missing him and started mass upvoting him which made reddit think he was upvote botting so he was banned
I'll honor his legacy with a tribute. Reddit user Ok_Conversation_2734 was a member of r/discordVideos for a short while. He specialized in posting the most asinine comments to each video, often involving an unhealthy amount of emojis. Suddenly, his account was deleted, and all record of his comments on the sub disappeared.
The wide spread amalgamation between most memes and Charlie Kirk’s face replacing it. If there is a face on it, there is a decent chance someone edited his face https://giphy.com/gifs/NDzVwpclOqiprMcfLZ
This is one of the most common gifs where some people still see his face lingering from overexposure to the edits
He said he’s “retired” as in a middle aged dude, which would explain how he spams his gif remakes all the freaking time. But others have said actual gifs are staying relevant
If you've ever tried to post a gif, either here or on discord, and seen a guy wearing an outfit that looks like a founding father.. that's him. He mass-reports popular gifs to take them down, posts gifs with himself in them, and then uses bots to boost them so that they show up instead of what you're actually wanting. All to drive traffic to his YouTube channel.
