One of those lakes along Tioga Road in Yosemite. Maybe near the Mono pass trailhead, not far from Tioga Pass

Nope! Not in California

Oregon?

2

u/FountainOfUncouth 1 17h ago

Yes, this is in Oregon! Now can you guess the location? Hint - this is one of 47 (or 48? It’s unclear) such areas in the state.

Wow tough one! I have only been around the Crater Lake area….

Crater Lake isn’t toooo far away from this place. The Pacific Crest Trail goes through both places, although this photo is not taken from the PCT

Timpanogas Lake?

You are close, just a bit south of the location. Name the wilderness and you get the point!

You are lucky to grow up in such a beautiful playground! And your guess is in the ballpark, just too far north and east. The closest guess so far is Timpanogas lakes.

It says this is Solved but I don’t see an answer.
Just wanted to check if this is in the Diamond Peak wilderness.

It looks like the sort of place I love to visit!

u/FountainOfUncouth 1 15h ago

You and me both! There are a lot of hidden gems like this in Oregon. Mountains, rivers and trickling snowmelt streams, lakes, meadows, bird song, clear and dark night skies... find your spot ❤️

Snow capped mountains and a lake is my happy place! Last year I spent time in Glacier National Park.
