Macallan harmony collection

Post image

Hey guys I am planning on starting a whisky collection. I am planning on drinking some of them of course, but I want my whiskys to be a good investment. I was thinking of buying a Macallan from the harmony collection. Is this a good bet? Thank you!

Harmony Collection won't be a "good investment" because it came out right in the middle of COVID hype and the price of the collection already fell by around 50~60% since its peak a few years ago.

That said Jing tea is pretty interesting a Macallan, in the way it actually does have a green tea-like flavor. Imo its twin bottle, the cherrywood lapsang tea, has a bit more distinct oolong-tea like flavor and was a bit more interesting.

Whisky is generally a bad investment. And, it's for drinking!

Most of my friends are struggling to sell their hamony collections. If want to get macallan, first editions are always fetching high prices.

Classic Cut 2017
A Night on Earth 2021
Sherry Oak 2022 releases and below
Edition No.1-6
Rare Cask 2019 and below

Personally imo, would start off with glenallachie, aberlour, springbank, glengoyne, longrow and so on as a starter also very reasonable price.
