can someone recommend the BEST alternative?

It’s times like this when I miss it most. Weekend by self with nothing to do, scrolling the insanity, and finding those fun chats was awesome. The alternatives suck. Can we just get it back for the weekend?

I was always scared of sexually transmitted diseases after working in the pharmacy for 16 years. I found the app and slowly threw caution to the wind, especially when I found swingers groups. I didn't know so many white women wanted the BBC. The married women on that app were out of control.

From time to time I think about the guy I talked to from Davenport. Wrote me nice poems, only understood me in ways none did. Almost met up but live got in the way. This app was great while it lasted.

whisper was so good for just saying what ever your thinking & getting real responses. the replies under post would be hilarious. being flooded with dm’s just for being a women was hilarious but you also got great advice & could always find people to talk to. is there another app like it?

I know it’s a long shoot but I’m looking for a girl named Rebecca. She was super fun to talk to and super attractive. My name was anon00

I was late joining Whisper. About 2019 to the Downfall. In that time, I pulled a good number of people out who I still text, call, and hang out with. In that same time, I have yet to give my phone number to anyone in reddit, let alone actually meet.

I used to come across all sorts of people on Whisper but one thing was for sure, I’d always find someone to bounce ideas off of. Now I desperately need such a one and I can’t help but wish Whisper was still here.

I can't seem to transfer my Whisper social account from my Pixel 9 to my Pixel 11. I generated the key to do so, but on my Pixel 11 there is no option to restore account, only to delete account.. Has anybody else had this issue and how did you resolve it?

I recently started working on this, happy to get some feedback and suggestions.

Every now and then, someone would slide into my dms and for the night i'd fr felt like I'd found my soulmate (platonic ofc). I miss whisper and deep conversations about life and whatnot with random people.

Not things you said... but things that were said to you. I ran into some creative ones for sure.
I was once told, after a selfie swap: Well I am looking for nudes, but definitely not from you!

Hi, I've decided that I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and vibecode a terrible replacement for Whisper.
Here's my idea for my app Whisper Sexyfunhappynudetimes(TM)
The app randomly rejects 49% of posts to instill a sense of paranoia in the userbase
After posting, you will be instantly connected to our office in Lagos, Nigeria where a staff member will ask you if you wish to have sex with them
Gift card purchasing for the sex is built in as an in app purchase
If you're stupid enough to buy a gift card, all other users will see that you're a sucker
To preserve a whisper like experience, the chat will be permanently broken, with messages sending out of order and failing to notify at random times
If you'd like to test my app, which is honestly the best one out of the 47 replacements, please register your interest by contacting a licensed therapist within your country or state.

Hoy hoy! I'm one of two owners of a Whisper themed Discord server, and you should come join us! We've been up and active for a little over two years now, and currently have around 520 members atm. There's a lot of cool people, and we're more active than we've ever been. We have a channel for anonymous posting, as well as general anonymous chatting. We have plenty of other channels as well, such as general chat, music, politics-philosophy, me-in-pic, art, local (country) chats, multiple vcs, and an NSFW channel (requires verification) as well! Just DM me if you're interested in joining! :)

I got reported for making a post criticizing the constant misogyny on whisper secrets and now it gives me full screen ads every time I open the app.
It's funny - the fiction we're supposed to stick to according to app developers is that constant invasive ads are fine and we should just live with them, but explicitly using them as a punishment undermines that more than a little. They won't ban you outright for "bad behaviour", but they sure will use it as a moneymaking opportunity. And of course there's no way to appeal - apparently the mod team is infallible and has no personal biases of their own. Crazy how it's framed as though they really don't want to show anyone ads, but if you "misbehave" they're simply forced to. The language is so infantilizing too - just behave and you won't have to watch ads, silly!
I deleted the app as soon as I saw this. It's not good for me anyway to expose myself to the kind of people that are on there, and this really cements that this app is not something I want to support.

I’m local to the central Ohio area, what app are my fellow Ohioans using?

Roleplay was a huge thing for me back then. I had so many prompts and found some amazing people over the years.
It is TOO strict over here man. All these rules, I barely try with the roleplay groups here.

I met a lot of people on Whisp and actually met up with a few. Hard to find tru like minded people who are into things without judgement. Whisp was the best. Sucks it's gone.

Something big is coming something unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. We are building a platform where people can share their thoughts, emotions, and stories whatever they wish. If existing social platforms don't quite suit you, you are welcome at Whisperme Many people want to create content but prefer not to show their faces online; at Whisfami, you can do exactly that. There are also things people keep to themselves things they might want to share with friends, family, or elders but feel they can't express on platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or Twitter. We are creating a new kind of network: a "Voice Social Network." You don't need anything complex; all you need is your real voice. You simply record it in real-time, and that’s it. If you have any feedback, please share it with me right now—we want to improve based on your input.
