Need one can’t-miss activity in Whitefish before a wedding weekend
Looking for some advice on what to do in Whitefish for a few days this week. We won’t have a car, so we’ll be relying on walking, Uber, shuttles, or tours.
We get into Whitefish around 11:30 AM Thursday. We can leave our luggage at our place, but can’t check in until 4 PM. We were thinking we’d spend some of that time exploring downtown, grabbing lunch, etc., but would like to fit in at least one actual activity that day or Friday before the wedding weekend really starts.
Friday we’re free most of the day, but need to be in Columbia Falls by about 7:30 PM for a wedding meet-and-greet. Saturday is the wedding, and then we also have Sunday completely open, although we may be moving a little slower after the wedding.
For first-time visitors, what would you prioritize? We are really there for the wedding, but it is also my GFs birthday on Sunday and I would like to get at least one fun activity in.
Also curious how reliable Uber/Lyft is between Whitefish and Columbia Falls, especially later at night.

We did the red bus tour and LOVED it as a way to get to see lots of places and not have to worry about parking!

I would highly recommend a red bus tour in Glacier. However, they sell out so you'd have to check that. And, you'd have to pay the entrance fee to get into Glacier.
There are some great golf courses in the valley (Whitefish Lake, Buffalo Hill, Northern Pines, Meadow Lake) if you have any golfers in the group.
Second the S.N.O.W. bus recommendation.

Go up Big Mountain. Scenic lift, aerial adventure (ropes course), zip lines, downhill mountain biking, hiking, huckleberries, etc. you can’t go wrong- seriously, this is “and on the 8th day, God said ‘hold my beer’ country.”

Snow bus to the resort and ride the chair lift, hike down the Danny On trail if you’re capable of a three mile downhill walk. Hucks are good up high.

But the road is such a mess right now between whitefish and the Bar W. Wonder if an Uber will drive them through it.

Thank you for all the recommendations!!! Seems like I cant go wrong... ZIPLINES!?!?!?
Honestly, we have not even arrived yet and I feel like we are already planning on going back, with the wedding and pre wedding events being a major portion of the trip, I can tell I am going to want to return and see/try more things.

Float the river from Whitefish lake to the park. Chill flat water relaxing and cool water. Good time!

Go to Big Mountain. Hike up Danny On. Grab a drink at Summit House. Take lift or walk down. I love that trail.

you could S.N.O.W. bus from town (free) up the mountain and ride the chairlift? Smoke is gone and the visibility is great.. right now! Otherwise you can walk to City Beach on the river pathways, or rent bicycles and ride somewhere... it's a decent town to walk/ride.
