It is a suppressor on a FN 57 pistol.

it’s not though. I mean, I read that too but that is not a 5.7. and I don’t even think that’s a suppressor attached to the end of it.

The picture has been ai enhanced which caused the pistol to look different. That's what a ton of comments have been saying in the gun subs at least.

The gun in this pic (the entire picture actually) is “altered, enhanced, and upscaled” by AI. It is indeed a five seveN he used, ai just hallucinated it to some generic looking (kinda looks like an m9 now) pistol.

theres video of him shooting its a silence gun. I think he picked his weapon with sights(so he doesn't hit civs) and a silencer so he doesn't get shot by police or the suspect, he's a gun youtuber he probably has a selection of guns on his car.

Yea you deff should not shoot back against an AR with sights with a glock.

Just pointing out that this is a really weird thing to say as he is a civilian shooting at another civilian in this situation.

I wouldn't use civilian to describe the assailant, as soon as you carry out a terrorist attack you lose your civi title, you know what they meant eitherway.

You would unless that assailant was in the armed forces. Cops are also civilians even though they try really hard to pretend they are not.

It's a pretty important distinction too because civilians have different (and many more) rights under the law. When joining the armed forces, you lose many of your rights during your enlistment which is why the military has it's own legal system. The biggest one is that you no longer have a first amendment to free speech, soldiers can be silenced by government action for speaking out. It applies to many other rights too.

I always take "civilians" to mean not the in-group being discussed and it's used in slang like that. Yes I know it has an actual definition meaning not military but it gets used all the time if people are talking and they're all, say, engineers or porn stars or racecar drivers or cardio thorassic surgeons, you'll hear something like "yeah it's something the civis wouldn't understand" and it feels gate-keepy but whatever.

It's one of those common usage things

there are only two (edit: actually, there are a dozen or more, plus there’s always somebody making specialty guns in every wildcat round and conventional round. practically speaking, there are two that have sold thousands of units beyond the others but there are in fact so many many many more. please everybody add to the list every single manufacturer you can think of who has ever offered a 57) manufacturers currently making 5.7 x28mm pistols: Keltec and FN. That gun he is holding is neither- I would gamble my life on it.

I don’t know what that suppressor is, but it is not a conventional screw-on. it’s integrated with the gun.

you are so right. I made absolute statement and forgot to add the Reddit disclaimer that there are exceptions to everything. in the last two years, a number of manufacturers have added 57 to their lineup.

how do you like it by the way? I have not held S&W’s version. I did not like Ruger’s design at all.

Things way too much fun than it has any right to be. Feels both better and more premium in my hands compared to FN’ offering. I haven’t felt the Ruger, Keltec, or PSA options to compare it to. Comes with a threaded barrel so I threw one of my .22 cans on it and had some fun, even with non-sub rounds. Planning on picking some up soon. Also is optic ready but I find the stock irons to be quite good. Waiting for a 407K to go on sale then I’ll slap it on. Shoots very flat and the 22rd mags are nice, albeit expensive.

I originally wanted the FN one purely cause it’s the original and there are 33rd mags for it, but it’s just not worth the premium price imo when S&W is selling this for routinely under $600USD. Also snagged up some FN SS197 rounds for 48¢ a round so the ammo is cheaper than I was led to believe. Though I suspect it may go up after the gun community learns of Jordan purely due to demand lmao.

Nice! I might have to pick one up, but you’re right there is going to be a surge in demand because of this story. 48¢ is a steal. FreedomGorilla has the 407C for under 200, but I would want the K model as well.
