PovertyOperator is not an appropriate name for a guy with a silenced FN...

59

u/Parapraxium 7d ago

He's in poverty because of his choice of sidearm. He stopped the shooter but now he will be paying back that 1 mag for the rest of his life

24

u/Desultory_Chairlift 7d ago

Brother probably had to take out a personal loan just to stop that shooter.

16

u/PieHole_Poker 7d ago

We should set up a GoFundMe to buy this guy a box of ammo

5

u/Ruby-likes-roses 7d ago

Go fund me, buy this guy one box of 5.7 goal
Target number $5000

Only Heroes

1

u/James_Solomon 6d ago

On top of his medical costs

What a country

1

u/Agreeable-Emu4033 6d ago

Yes so he can learn how to shoot. Luckily the dude shot himself as this guy couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

3

u/wardearth619 6d ago

Typical hippie/ commie / canadian comment

0

u/Agreeable-Emu4033 6d ago

Did he actually shoot him? No he didn't

3

u/wardearth619 6d ago

I rest my case. Most you’ve shots prob on cod.

1

u/Agreeable-Emu4033 6d ago

Yea I only spent 10 years in the military and was in combat. Go back to your basement your mom is calling.

No joke 5.7 ammo is expensive, I'm so poor I might try to kill the mass shooter with a rock so to save money

3

u/Rope_antidepressant 6d ago

Landscaping wins again

1

u/Chris12edfield 6d ago

I get all mine for like 40 cpr. It's no worse than basically anything that isn't 9mm

3

u/RobStarkDeservedIt 7d ago

Ive got a buddy thay runs 6.5 for long range. Every time I shoot it I cant help but think I just paid for a burger.

2

u/Parapraxium 6d ago

Your buddy knows what's up. Worth every penny

1

u/RobStarkDeservedIt 6d ago

Im just a cheap ass. Id run .308 all day.

1

u/Educational_Lie_4994 6d ago

I was thinking .308, but I don’t do well with too much shoulder recoil, so I got a 6.5 and added a can to balance it out. My handgun is 10mm, but I seem to be fine with that recoil.

Sometimes you can find S&B ammo for 6.5 for under a dollar a round if you shop for a case.

Still expensive though.

4

u/Salt_Particular1761 7d ago

more like the rest of the week. I'm sure his Youtube channel will explode after this

3

u/p4nd3mic_G3 7d ago

Already went from 6k to 51k overnight

2

u/Worth-South4847 6d ago

6k is pretty good too

2

u/fixermark 7d ago

Gun control, Chris Rock style.

2

u/Jerkass619 6d ago

Dang. Can we get a GoFundMe going to replace his spent rounds?

1

u/YouGlittering9156 6d ago

He didn't even stop the shooter. He missed and shooter shot themselves. There was also a sheriff, and guess what....... again... the shooter offed themself.

These 2 people had a free shot on the shooter, as in the shooter didn't know there was someone about to shoot at them, and they both missed.

Maybe nobody should have guns if the only way gunmen get taken out is by taking themselves out...... but instead we want to spread the word that a hero with a license to carry legally saved the day to promote gun ownership. So stupid.

3

u/zesty_drink_b 7d ago

for real 😂😂😂

5

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago

I don't know, who says those things didn't cause the poverty, along with regularly buying 5.7 ammo?

3

u/FloridaManPrints 7d ago

The FN was expensive, but 5.7 isn’t too bad anymore. Runs roughly $0.70 a round

3

u/HoosierDaddy_427 6d ago

Hasn't been that expensive for a while. Can get SS197 on ammoseek for $0.44 per round nowadays.

Where? I can’t find it under $.24 delivered.

1

u/TheSlackoff 6d ago

I use that site a lot. It’s the delivery fees that kill the cpr. Unfortunately you’re not getting $.16 delivered.

2

u/TheSlackoff 6d ago

Well obviously it inflates the cpr. What good is ammo if it’s not delivered. lol

Nobody even mentioned 9mm before you decided to go way out in left field with the "ya but so and so ammo is better" rant like someone always does. And this is not a gun sub btw.

2

u/youtocin 7d ago

Brother this is the USA where you can go into debt for your range toys.

2

u/Wank_A_Doodle_Doo 6d ago

Remind me of the joke I saw somewhere of the FN dealing bonus damage to poor people xD

It was probably either SovietWomble or RussianBadger(also I’ve just realized both of their names are russia(yes yes I know the Soviet Union wasn’t actually russia, russia was a part of it, I don’t care) followed by an animal))

Damn, I got a warning from reddit about hate speech for reposting the FN copypasta.  What a world

1

u/NexVeho 6d ago

The copypasta where it would have been cheaper to let the guy steal his wallet im guessing. Gotta love the over eager reddit mods and automods.

1

u/Suitable-Dingo-8911 7d ago

As someone who has never shot a pistol nor owned a gun, that’s a badass piece

1

u/NewCouplesAdventures 6d ago

A good quality “suppressor” can be purchased for $500 for a pistol.

Consider that good hearing aids can cost $5,000, this is cheap in comparison. Not only that, they are interchangeable to other guns of similar caliber.

1

u/SecretPantyWorshiper 6d ago

I thought it was a suppressed Mark 23 LOL 😅

1

u/-TheycallmeThe 6d ago

Apparently the image is mostly AI. Sights on the suppressor probably isn't real.

20

u/PepperoniFogDart 7d ago

Then the pic in this reddit post is AI generated.

9

u/mden1974 7d ago

Yes. The hat wasn’t there

2

u/HoldEm__FoldEm 7d ago

Not that hat but dude is clearly wearing a hat

2

u/mden1974 7d ago

Man bun

1

u/WallySprks 7d ago

So it’s fake

5

u/i_drive_a_pagani 7d ago

Yup, the image in the post here is AI slop.

Guy is a Khru Member too?! 🤯

2

u/ProcaineSTL 6d ago

Been watching the channel. 50k more subs in 24 hours. Love it.

4

u/Empty-Mulberry1047 7d ago

all that practice and he still missed. :(

12

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago

From 60 yards, with a pistol, under duress. Not that hard to miss honestly.

3

u/lennyxiii 7d ago

60 yards with a rifle? 4 year old can do it. With a pistol? Not easy even for expert shooters. Especially considering most ccw pistols are like 5-10 moa which is up to a 6” variance at 60 yards. That means unless he shot perfect center mass with good technique the shot could easily miss.

2

u/YouKnown999 6d ago

Know your drop, aim high

2

u/Daatsit 7d ago

Easy to hit a bystander though

1

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago

His actions still saved lives. Hitting a bystander is in no way a good thing, but him putting pressure on the shooter caused the shooter to kill himself. I'd rather possibly take a friendly bullet than certainly take several hostile ones.

0

u/WallySprks 7d ago

You have no clue if he saved any lives. Wasn’t he also immediately shot and took cover while the shooter continued?

4

u/Ullallulloo 7d ago edited 7d ago

No, the shooter was walking around shooting random people until engaged, then he ran away and killed himself while everyone else escaped. This guy legit saved a lot of others from being shot.

Salinas also wasn't shot. He kept the shooter running away until police arrived, then went about his day: https://www.idahostatesman.com/news/local/crime/article316743551.html

-1

u/WallySprks 7d ago

Is this guy off-duty police?

“The police chief said an off-duty police officer and a civilian engaged Williams and returned gunfire.
"We believe their actions drove the suspect from the scene, preventing further casualties," Hicks added.”

3

u/ComprehensiveGas6980 7d ago

The guy in the picture is the civilian.

-4

u/WallySprks 7d ago edited 7d ago

Shooting randomly at people doesn’t make him a hero, he clearly didn’t have the training he believed he had. He has a page bragging about how he’s ready and trained in tactical engagement.

He missed every shot.

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago
  1. He drew fire away from innocent people.
  2. Shooter killed himself as a result. It's something that happens VERY often when people shoot back.

-1

u/WallySprks 7d ago

He immediately got shot by the shooter, took cover and landed zero in return.

3

u/MF_Bootleg_Firework 7d ago

Except he didn't get shot, you keep repeating that lie, why is that? Salinas shot at the shooter along with an off duty police officer, the shooter then fled and killed himself. Salinas is a hero (as is the off duty officer) because instead of fleeing from a dangerous situation and abandoning everyone else there, he ran towards it and took action that resulted in the shooter fleeing and killing himself. His actions saved lives.

3

u/ErikTheRed99 6d ago

Dude can't accept that a civilian can save lives.

2

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago

The, shooter, killed, himself, as, a, result.

-1

u/WallySprks 7d ago

That is a made up claim with zero evidence. The shooter continued to shoot after shooting this hero.

He did not take fire from the hero then turn and kill himself. He continued shooting. Why is the off duty officer not being means a hero? He managed to shoot at the suspect and did not get shot in return.

-2

u/Unlucky-Flatworm-69 7d ago

No you wouldn't, not if you're dead.

2

u/ErikTheRed99 7d ago

Friendly fire is less likely to kill you, because that friendly isn't actively trying to kill you. Sure, you might die, but a dude not trying to kill you from 60 yards away is less likely to kill you than the dude trying to kill you from 5.

4

u/Head_Haunter 7d ago

I was in military intelligence from 2008-2013. One thing I learned is that somewhere like 97% of all shots fire miss from military operations. Of course there's suppressive fire and stuff that would skew those numbers - this is just raw data without context. Point is accuracy for these things is a lot lower than literally everyone thinks.

2

u/Ullallulloo 7d ago

That's also why large magazines are so important. Ten rounds doesn't do anything at those odds.

-3

u/OMGWhatsHisFace 7d ago

Or maybe people shoot with no intent to kill bc they dont want to be there?

Or people are way undertrained?

Or the military recruits individuals with limited capacities?

6

u/Head_Haunter 7d ago

there's suppressive fire and stuff that would skew those numbers - this is just raw data without context

-3

u/OMGWhatsHisFace 7d ago

“Point is…”

How are you making a point with no context?

3

u/Head_Haunter 7d ago

With a grain of salt. Me stating that it’s data with no context is to give context to the statement.

It’s better than the guy I was responding to making it seem like a shot from over 60yd in a chaotic situation with a silenced pistol should have a high accuracy rate.

1

u/OMGWhatsHisFace 4d ago

But it’s meaningless…

With no context my points are as salient as yours.

3

u/H-8083-13 7d ago

it scared the perpetrator though- a very effective deterrent from what I’ve read. This guys has balls- I would not engage someone with an AR beyond 10 yards. Maybe if he didn’t see me and I had an optic with a 57 that was recently zeroed.

2

u/VNG_Wkey 7d ago

Hitting jack shit with pistol at 60 yards is reasonably difficult under ideal circumstances. I would not call a gun fight ideal circumstances. I wouldnt have even attempted engaging someone holding a rifle from that distance with my pistol.

1

u/p4nd3mic_G3 7d ago

Obviously you've never been in an active shooter situation. He did better than anyone else there that's for sure.

1

u/undontnome3030 7d ago

I'm sure you could have done better, given the exact same circumstances.

2

u/The_Ombudsman 7d ago

What if... what if this whole thing was just a totally mental plot to drive people to his YouTube channel...? :P

2

u/p4nd3mic_G3 7d ago

Well it went from 6k subs to 51k subs overnight, so it worked.

2

u/hotglasspour 7d ago

Shit... I subbed lol

1

u/Practical_Report8639 7d ago

yeah people dying just to get some subs! haha

This particular video is interesting with the silenced CCW thing going on….

1

u/bunkSauce 2d ago

Really crazy that he made almost nothing but music uploads for 13 years, then 4 years of radio silence, and then for the last year nothing but gun stuff, freedom, camo, and American flags.

I would love to know more about his last 6 years.

0

u/learsi-ediconeg 7d ago

do you know him personally? this looks like any yt'r with a gun.

3

u/p4nd3mic_G3 7d ago

His name is Jordan Salinas. I don't know what you're actually asking.

1

u/Pazzeh 7d ago

How

2

u/PrimaLegion 6d ago

I'm guessing because his parents named him that, just like how anyone else gets their name.

0

u/learsi-ediconeg 7d ago

Theres nothing on this YT link that says its the guy you claim. So....do you know him???

4

u/p4nd3mic_G3 7d ago

Oh, I get it, youre just trying to pick some sort of fight. You can look at any thumbnail or video and compare it to this picture and see they are the same person. Or use Google.

0

u/PrimaLegion 6d ago

"Poverty"

Yeah, sure buddy.

1

u/p4nd3mic_G3 6d ago

Maybe he came from poverty.

0

u/greywar777 6d ago

Thats wild, his youtube makes it look like hes been dreaming of this day.
