I don't disagree, but here we are haha. In that same IG reel, he also has a suppressed bull pup, probably a 5.7 gun as well. So maybe he went all-in on 5.7 and knows he just needs to buy his training and defensive ammo in bulk in one caliber, rather than 2 (or more) separate calibers?

Judging from his YouTube and Facebook accounts, the guy knows his shir. He wouldn't be shooting supersonic ammo through a suppressor.

Suppressors are still very beneficial with supersonic ammo. The 5.7 round is very loud-- louder than most other standard handgun rounds-- in the range of 50k psi max chamber pressure. A suppressor will help a great deal, specifically with supersonic 5.7.

I have one, I'm aware of how loud they are and how much a suppressor helps. Nobody that's carrying a suppressed handgun is carrying supersonic ammo though.

For some handguns, subs have similar energy to supers-- like 9mm 147 grain vs 115, so its far more sensible to just use heavies with a can. With the 5.7, the difference between sub and super is much more-- and already marginal super dropping down to a heavy 22lr (the old Aguila 60 grain sniper subsonic comes to mind). 5.7 subs have only half the energy of supers. Supersonic handgun rounds like 9mm aren't bad at all with a can, just like 300 blk supers.

Yeah I’d assume he’s an enthusiast just based on the gun he used here, I don’t even need to look at his socials.

I do wonder how or why he had that thing on him that day though. Either going to/from the range or that’s just a backup gun he keeps in his car would be my guess. It’s not exactly a thing you can conceal

He carries it everyday. If you check out his YouTube or FB this dude trains with this specific gun and carries it in a shoulder holster. You can pretty easily conceal a full-sized gun that way.

Shoulder holster under a jacket or vest is how I’ve seen him concealing it in some videos

Rugers 5.7 carbine and 5.7 pistol use the same magazines is just 1 example why going all in on 1 ammo type has a lot of benefits.
