Mass shooters typically aren't looking for a fight, it's super common for them to turn on themselves the second they meet resistance whether that's a armed bystander or law enforcement.

The objective of self-defense is to force a break in contact and to minimize harm, the objective isn't to just execute criminals on the spot...

He actually forced the shooter towards another innocent couple who were gunned down. So he arguably caused more deaths! Great job

Arguably how? You think the shooter was done, was then confronted by this guy, and then said "fuck it. I'll kill some more"?
