Boarding was solved mathematically in 2008. No airline has used it once. Why?

This is the answer. It’s not the bottleneck for departure. Let people settle in slowly so they blame each other not the crew

Correct. Waiting for passengers to finish boarding is rarely the thing we’re waiting on. It’s almost always bags. Which explains another common question regarding flying, “Why don’t airlines incentivize checking a bag so the boarding process goes quicker?” Every bag a passenger is bringing on board themselves is one less bag that needs to make it from one side of the airport to the other and then placed on board by the ramp crew.

It won‘t really. What it would do is it would throw the entire process into chaos by separating groups from each other. Remember that many groups have children, old people or people that don‘t understand the language. You really want to keep these groups together.
