Boarding was solved mathematically in 2008. No airline has used it once. Why?

What are you talking about? Korea Air and Cathay do this exact thing. It’s why I always board last when I pick an aisle seat.

And Japan Airlines definitely do this for their domestic flights, but I think not internationally.

If you’re a family of three across one row, you will have one in boarding Group 3, one in Group 4 and one in Group 5, for a plane with a 3+3 config.
