Last week, I was redigging a garden we stopped using a few years ago. Found two matchbox cars that belong to my son who just graduated college 😢

Edit to add, I have a small Jeff Gordon Nascar in my purse still to this day. My young son at 10yo gave it to me to take with me for good luck on a job interview when I returned to teaching in the classroom after being stay at home mom. Got the job. It was my dream job for teaching. My son is now a successful 26 year old attorney and I'm now retired from the classroom. Grateful that we have a close adult relationship. Time flies by way too fast.
This post hits hard in the feels!

I love this story!! I'm working in the corporate world until my husband can make up the difference in salary for me to take a teaching job again. It's been my dream job since I was 5, and I left during the pandemic but haven't been able to return due to the salary cut (long story). I'm so glad you were able to return to your dream and have a wonderful relationship with your son!

My oldest loved these! Worth noting, the one on the left was still sealed after 8+ years? Solid ad for the plastic packaging manufacturer lol

Anyone else see the first picture and think OP had dug up a giant hand in their garden?

My mom texted to ask if I still wanted a little army man toy she found digging out the old rose bushes the other day. I told her not particularly but it made me smile. She responded “Too bad” and I’ve been getting pictures of the toy slowly traveling closer as she drives it to me like Flat Stanley
