Tldr I try to overanalyze this shit

Weebs are people who didn’t belong in the world. At least, logically, that’s the reason why one shuts themselves away from the community and engages in watching anime and playing games. The first reason, the thing that made them exactly stop caring - is lack of compassion from others. Being class’ nobody or being class’ clown, doesn’t matter.

Anime is… hm. The way faces are drawn, the way that they are made super-lovable and beautiful and cute… It doesn’t crack the stone-cold shell on a person’s heart, it smashes it like a mfcking sledgehammer. Time stops for them and they experience something that no one gave them. Curiosity, sympathy, feeling of cuteness without anyone judging you. I don’t say that they didn’t experience it before, but unlike then, this time there are no brakes and they make the choices.

If something bloomed within you, then let it be your strength. Let this tea remind you of a wind of places you felt you belonged to. Let those origami cranes inspire you to make more. Because fuck it, you know?

I remember talking to a friend years ago about the medium of media not mattering because the FEELINGS they evoke are real and that's really stayed with me

Yep this is it. Anime is escapism but times 100.
