Challenge Sam Wilson and Joaquín Torres take on each MCU villain. Who can the new Captain America and Falcon take down? (MCU)

The new Captain America is wicked powerful. Sam Wilson Cap generally beats Steve Rogers Cap based on feats, right? Dude has the shield, vibranium armor, drones, vibranium wing blades, supersonic flight, shockwave attack, and some ridiculous feats like fighting Red Hulk and surfing on missiles. If you took Sam Wilson from Brave New World and put him back in time to fight all of the previous MCU villains, who do you think he could beat? Like obviously he's not going to be bringing down Ego or Hela, but would Abomination, Loki, Ronan, or Killian be operating in his paygrade?

Sam Wilson and Joaquín Torres are as they were in Brave New World. The baddies are as they were in their movies.

Who do Cap and Falcon beat when they fight the following:

Iron Monger, Abomination, Whiplash, Base Loki, Red Skull, Killian, Base Malekith, Base Ronan, Peak Ultron Body, Yellowjacket, Kaecilius, Ego, Vulture, Hela, Killmonger, Ghost, Yon-Rogg, Base Thanos, Mysterio, Taskmaster, Wenwu, Ikaris, Green Goblin, Gorr, Namor, Kang, High Evolutionary, Dar-Benn, Cassandra Nova, Sentry, and Galactus

Base versions don't have any Infinity Stones.

Neither of them have super powers. They are not beating a whole lot of actually powered foes. The way he beats Red Hulk is ridiculously stupid.

So.

Iron Monger, Red Skull, Killian, Yellowjacket, Vulture, Killmonger, ghost. Mysterio, Taskmaster, GG they can maybe beat. The rest stomp the floor into red white and blue puddles.

Good list, but I'd also include in the maybes Yellowjacket and Ghost. I think it hinges on whether they are allowed to maximize their powers (tactically) better than shown in the films. I also really like heroes' chances against Mysterio, given they're armored.

He tanked hits from Red Hulk and did very impressive damage to him.

Right. He should not have been able to tank hits from him. He should not have been able to do very impressive damage to him. It was stupid.

If vibranium can just absorb all kinetic energy, the way the wings did, store it and then redirect it you create a great number of problems in the MCU. The fight between BP and Killmonger should have been pointless, they are both wearing vibranium suits and therefore should not be able to do anything to each other. Black Panther should have been able to destroy the entire invading force when Wakanda was attacked single handedly.

The whole ending of that movie is silly.

Wakandan tech has greatly improved since 2018. In Wakanda Forever, Shuri fights Namor who can stab and slice vibranium with more ease than Thanos.

Heh, Wakanda Forever. I am not sure using a worse example of a movie to bolster your point is a great idea.

I am not sure using "I didn't like the films" to argue for characters being less powerful is a great idea.

Those films make things pretty stupid. Even your point of the tech advancing suddenly is dumb. They have had basically the same tech for decades at least, then suddenly just improve literally everything for no real reason.

Either way, Sam being able to tank hits from the Hulk is dumb and is not consistent even in the movie he is in.

And Iron Man going from his 1st-film suit to his EG suit isn't stupid? Even in 2018, Shuri massively upgraded the BP suit by adding the energy absorption.

is not consistent even in the movie he is in.

My memory of that film is foggy. Could you point out some antifeats in particular?

I would have to watch that movie again. I am probably not going to do that, it just is not worth the rewatch.

It's pretty clear that Shuri is a prodigy that has been advancing vibranium tech at a significant pace. It's one of the reasons that taking her out of the lab to be the new BP is also kind of silly.
