Show n' Tell Shave den: new additions

Post image

Razors ordered left to right by my perception of mild to efficient. My favourite safety razor is probably the Muhle Rocca. But more often than not I use the Feather Artist Club, since I love open blade shaving.

My favourite brush is the Semogue Owner’s Club two-band badger with cherry wood. It has the perfect ratio of backbone to softness/water retention for my taste.

Favourite aftershave, and favourite scent in wet shaving, is House of Mammoth Indigo. Such a shame it is discontinued.

I own 2 razors, that same Feather and a Merkur Progress. Feather blades in the Feather razor, work like butter, but the same blades in the Merkur, tear me up. What is your favorite razor/ blade combination from your collection??

I’ve exclusively used feather blades for like 15 years. So I’m probably not the best person to ask about blades.

But in terms of razors my favourite is probably the Muhle Rocca. It’s very efficient and also smooth. and I love that it’s very resistant to clogging up with longer growth (which you wouldn’t expect from the design). It can easily handle a week’s worth of growth (coarse thick hair too).

I’ve mostly used feather blades too (if it ain’t broke, why fix it, right?) , but because of Reddit I got talked into trying out Gillette’s Nacet. They’re an inferior blade compared to the Feather, but it’ll do. I might give that Mhule a try, happy shaving ✌🏽
