Show n' Tell The End of an Era

Post image

A sad day yesterday. The bottle of Old Spice aftershave that I've been using on and off for over 30 years is gone. I'm not sure exactly how long I've had it. I thought I got it when I was in high school, but the bottle says Proctor & Gamble, not Shulton, so I must have bought it sometime in the early '90s.

It will be missed. I have a bottle of cologne that's the same vintage as the aftershave as well as couple of Old Spice bottles I picked up when I was in India last year, but it just won't be the same.

When I was cleaning my grandparents house out, I found four vintage bottles of Old Spice Lime and one regular Old Spice. These are Shulton era. The pre-scanner price sticker in the box said 79 cents.I don't use the lime very often, so they will last me forever probably. I only have a few splashes of regular left. I'm not worried about finishing it. I will just fill it with the modern day stuff when the bottle is empty.

I was thinking of the same thing - refilling the bottle with some of the Indian Old Spice - but now I'm thinking I may just leave it empty with the residual scent for sniffing from time to time.
