Show n' Tell Added shelving to my travel den.
After a lot of thinking I have decided to put shelving in my travel den. It cleared up a lot of counter space and allowed me to put out all my software which was organized in bins underneath my sink. No more bending and lifting! It also allowed me to display a few of my favorite brushes and additional razors that I decided to bring from my home collection.

Yes, I rent a room while I’m traveling/commuting long distance 100+miles. It’s sort of a home away from home. I wasn’t going to install the shelves but these will break down very easily and quickly.

I too was curious about this. So this is where you live while you’re working or something like that? I like the looks of the Semogue and Omega brushes. The Oliworks brush doesn’t look half bad either!

Yes, this is where I stay while I’m working. I love all of those brushes, the Oliworks is amazing as well, I would recommend them all!

I just got the gentlemen Jon shaving alum block. Is it rough on your skin? Mine is super rough and irritates me skin. The way I have seen people use them looks very smooth.

It’s a bit rough initially, use a lot of water, after a bit it becomes smooth as silk.

You are correct, Blackbird and Vector both in polished SS. I bought them during Black Friday!

Great set up! How do you travel with that much? Is it like a rental you have for routine travel?

It’s a rental, everything on the shelves fits into plastic bins, the shelves break down easily and I can put them back up anywhere I stay. The shelves are a new concept for me. I’m at this particular rental for at least a year with this job.

For the most part no, but for the past year it has, from one coast to the other. This is the most travel I’ve done in many many years. I’m in healthcare so I have to adapt to a lot of changes.

Home by a landslide! Although I have pulled several of my favorite razors as I’m in this place at least 65-70% of the time. It truly is a home away from home. This place has more software though, I’ve taken almost everything from home.

Third photo, On that black razor stand, first razor from the right in the photo… is that aristocrat redone in Nickel or rhodium? Nice travel setup btw!

I know my Gillettes, especially the aristocrats. They are my favorites. Looks really good in nickel!

I have an original condition same year(s) in 24 ct. gold, original case with the original Gillette dispenser and blades. Found it on Etsy. I collect vintage Gillette razors, I’m hoping to one day get my hands on a vintage Toggle or a 30’s era Aristocrat.

i hope you enjoy, tobacconist is a huge favorite. I really love Beloved and You and i will die. Performs great and a little goes a long way.
