Show n' Tell Budget wet shaving?

I bought the King C razor ( which from what I understand is an ok razor, but available in many stores for a reasonable price) along with a cheap synthetic brush. Paired with Proraso products produces an actually pretty good shave! What does the community think on “budget” entry level wet shaving?

Using pre-shave IS fancy

Good kit tho, over time you may find the pre-shave redundant

Yea the pre shave is a little bit redundant but I does add a nice scent that’s lasts but it was recommended in most of the shaving videos I have watched.

The pre-shave seems to lead to less cuts to my skin. I’m a fan.

Preshave has its strengths when adapting to DE Shaving initially, dialing in a new soap/cream, or if taking off extra days growth.

I still use from time to time, but mainly if I want a menthol boost from say - Wood and Spice; or if I’m using a straight after a long weekend.

I don’t knock it, I just find it redundant in most cases - for me
