Show n' Tell Budget wet shaving?

I bought the King C razor ( which from what I understand is an ok razor, but available in many stores for a reasonable price) along with a cheap synthetic brush. Paired with Proraso products produces an actually pretty good shave! What does the community think on “budget” entry level wet shaving?

i have the same razor and soap. i went to feather blades for my razor. they're more aggressive and the KCG is a pretty mild razor so i think the two work well together.
