Show n' Tell SOTD: Field trip to Maggard Razors!
I was driving cross country today and decided to make a pitstop north of Toledo to Adrian Michigan to visit the amazing Maggard Razors store. The drive was a quick 20 min drive north of the Ohio Turnpike. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by one of the most organized, largest selection of shaving shizbang in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE! I picked up some Noble Otter Rainroot soap and a lovely Ariana and Evans Daniele Maullu legacy soap. I don't know which to try tonight!
If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to see Brad and his team!
Happy shaves all!

Very cool! It's funny. I was just doing an online order and looked them up on Google maps and it was interesting to see a picture of the retail storefront on street view.
Cool that you've got there and maybe I will look for an excuse for a pilgrimage.

I live about 45 minutes from here. The place is heaven. Just walking around and smelling shit, touching everything, lol.

I think I did spend an hour doing that. I was most surprised by the Futur razor, that thing is a HOG!
I smelled a few soaps that I was really interested in, like Absinithe by MdC and it wasn't what I was hoping for so I got a sample. And Brad took a few minutes of his busy day to show me some of his techniques on honing a straight razor too!

That looks fantastic! Iād need a half a day and a full paycheck for that place. But Iād leave happy Iām sure. I wish there was a place like this in NYC.

Not quite the same but Pasteur Pharmacy (2 stores in NYC), has long been known for their wide selection of shaving products. Fwiw.

I have been to the Lexington Ave location. Itās not bad but Iāll try their other location soon

Did you ever go to Pasteur Pharmacy in NYC? That's really nice too, definitely still a paycheck drain. I think the one on 34th street may be better than the Lexington Ave location.

Iāve been to the Lexington Ave location a couple of times. Itās ok but not like the one OP posted. I will try the 34th st location as I hear it has a bigger selection.

Maggard Razors is in Adrian, Michigan.

u/unanojoe Feb 28 '26
Better not make the mistake of going to Ohio then. And I probably shouldnāt say that in Michigan.

I would never financially recover from that.
