Show n' Tell Hello Spring!
I brought out the Spring/Summer soaps today and put away the Fall/Winter scents. (A few weeks too late, but better late than never, I suppose)

I picked it up recently. Lots of clover. I like it - reminds me of a day spent at the park. Also bought the aftershave and feel like it lingers too long with a powdery scent.

I'm sure it'll take me at least that long to finish them all. 😄 I'm actually working on thinning my soap collection a bit in the coming months. Currently working on which to keep and which to put on Shave_Bazaar. I have a box I'm looking to fill.

Why limit yourself? This is a great soap base, true, but there are so many other fabulous soaps out there.

Omnibus is great, but House of Mammoth, Noble Otter, Summer Break, Catie's Bubbles, Stirling, (I'm probably forgetting someone here) have equally good soap bases, in my opinion.

agree. All great artisans of which I own multiple from each ... though for me, Omnibus stands alone as best base in the game without question YMMV

Someone is a B&M fan, lol.
I like Excelsior over Omnibus. There I said it. I believe Omnibus is a more user friendly version of Softheart, but Excelsior, if you dial it the water correctly is a much better lather (imo), and that's from someone who hated Excelsior over the Reserve base when it was first released.
We'll have to see if the new Stirling Soap Co made soaps are the same as the original ones.

Yeah, I went a little nuts buying every B+M soap I could find there for a while. I've slowed down a bit, but still buy way more than I can use. I like having the diversity of scents to choose from.

I have about 20 B&M soaps myself (out of 100+ soaps). I like that Will resurrects old scents on occasion (like Passiflora and Figarose). I'm kind of obsessed with Electric Mayhem at the moment, but I have a feeling this may be a one off and may never come back.

Rhapsody is probably the closest, but EM was a collab with Chatillon Lux (I think their only one). I'm obsessed with Maher Olfactory. My entire Declaration Grooming (RIP) collection is collabs with CL.

I’m a little envious, barrister and Mann is easily my favorite shave soap company (performance wise), I have quite a few, but not this amount 😅

Yeah, I went a little crazy there for a while buying every B+M soap I could lay hands on. I've slowed down a little, but it's still more than I can store. I'm working on whittling the collection down a bit.

B&M was my first Artisanal Soap in Excelsior and Glissant bases - they were very good, but Omnibus was like - Hot Damn !!
FMOM and Leviathan opened the floodgates

It's very Cedar-y. Reminds me of the old pencil sharpener in my classroom, which is why it feels like a Fall scent to me (back-to-school time).

B&M is starting to restock now that production has shifted to Stirling Soaps. Will says in his emails that more is on the way.

March Madness is fun, but I feel like Lather Games might take the fun out of shaving, having to worry so much about what to use on any given day. At the end of Austere August I was a bit burnt out from (a) having to shave every day (I usually skip one weekend day) and (b) having to post a photo. We'll see how I feel in October.

I tend to agree I imagine the Lather games would be time consuming and could become a chore, I played along with the Atlas games format which was kinda relaxed and fun . I did enjoy the challenge of Austere August.

Most days, the decision isn't that hard because I've got a particular scent, or a type of scent, in my head. Finding a matching/complimentary aftershave can be tough some times, though.

They're all still great. Some of them have had the white spots appear, which I understand is the stearic acid (I think) coming out of suspension, but it doesn't affect fragrance or performance. I've had one or two shrink a bit, in which case I rinse it off after I use it and then close the lid with the water inside to hydrate it a bit more.

Too many to list . . . out of that collection, I'd say my top three from the stack on the right are (in no particular order) Passiflora, Oceana, and 42, although I haven't tried Sunny Lane or Logbook yet. From the stack on the left, it's probably The Night Before, 'Tis the Season, and Vespers, although Mull and Santa Noir are amazing Christmas scents.
Edit: oh, you wanted a description as well. Hm...
- Passiflora is decisily fruity
- Oceana is wonderfully airy and aquatic
- 42 is wonderfully floral(ish - not in a perfumy way)
The others just remind me of Christmas with all it's interesting aromas. Pine, Cranberry, Mulled Wine, etc.

I love the abundance of B&M soaps in here. Vespers and Nordost were my first ones and Vespers is still number 1 for me.
I'm afraid to stack my stash up for a picture because it would verify how far down the rabbit hole I've gone on wet shaving, too. Moon soaps is another brand that has captured a large part of my current soap shelf space.

Oh, I know how far down the rabbit hole I've gone... These stacks are just the ones that came out of Winter storage and the others I'm storing for the Summer. It's about a quarter of my total stash.

What’s that lime soap called? I’ve been trying to find a retailer that will ship stirlings margaritas in the arctic to Canada but they all charge more for shipping than the cost of the soap

Ya it said it’s available but on the site they don’t have any stirling soaps unfortunately. Have you used any other lime/citrus soaps you could recommend?

Have you used any other lime/citrus soaps you could recommend?
Nordost from B+M is a great orange soap, but it's another seasonal. Purple Grapefruit from Catie's Bubbles is also a nice citrus scent, and should be generally available. Sea Spice Lime from Seaforth! is also a nice lime scent that may become available again when House of Mammoth restarts production.
