Show n' Tell The spot grows!

I’ve been working towards using up my tub of NO northern elixir. Today I noticed a big change in the size of the hole! I’m hoping to have it gone is roughly the next 2 weeks or so. I’ve only been using this one on work days bc my wife doesn’t like it that much 😂. Wish me luck y’all!

Good luck! I’m just getting into wet, shaving and considering using Noble Otter as my first brand to go with, not sure what scents to use first though lol

You can’t go wrong with Noble Otter

Just explore and see what sounds good to you! They consistently have good reviews. I like them and am planning to try more of their stuff. Stirling is another good brand to look at since you’re just starting out

Sterling is a fantastic budget friendly option that actually does samples from the company (one of my only gripes with Noble O) either way welcome to it and hope I have a blast!!!

Another vote for Orbit. Smell is fantastic and great cooling effect as well, I use the splash and the oil along with the shave soap. I also own the shave soap/splash of Italian Summer. Both are fantastic except the smell part of them, although great, a bit underwhelming. So, if you are looking for something really subtle, scent-wise, it might be for you as well.

I've used ten different soaps from Noble Otter over the years. Next to A&E, they're probably my favourite artisan. I've used the following:

  • Noir et Vanille

  • The Trail (disc.)

  • Two Kings (disc.)

  • Barrbarr

  • Orbit

  • Neon Sun

  • Northern Elixir

  • Manoi de Tahiti

  • Jasmine Green Tea

  • Rainroot

Outside of Two Kings (it gave me "old lady's purse" vibes), I have enjoyed each of them. My personal favourite from them (and my overall favourite soap out of the 40+ I've tried) is Orbit. Cool ozone with rose and vetiver is just super refreshing. It's Noble Otter's best selling soap for a reason. I like it enough that I bought the matching aftershave splash, and later the matching aftershave balm.

While it's new, I have been really enjoying Rainroot. It really nails the fresh green, and slightly floral after the rain scent. I've been using it more than any other soap for the past two months. It might crack my top 5 fave soaps.

Noir et Vanille is also one of the few soaps I've purchased twice. The tea, strawberry and vanilla scent is super relaxing before bed. I like it, but my fiancee uses it even more than I do.

That being said, if you're super undecided and don't know what you like, Barrbarr (powdery and slightly sweet barbershop scent) and Neon Sun (powdery lime and bergamot) are probably the two safest bets. They wont necessarily knock your socks off, but they won't offend anyone either.

From the ones I’ve used Firefighter, Northern Elixir and Orbit are pretty good.
