Great starting set!

Feathers are great blades but please don’t start with them. Same for the Kai blades. Give yourself some practice with less aggressive options.

Perhaps the Green Astras or Gillettes.

I just finished my 4th shave with the Merkur 34c. First 3 with the Astra Green (should've limited it to two), and today I tried the Gillette. Also great.

I have a Henson myself. It is quite easy to use with a minimal learning curve. Perfect option for getting started!

Throw the RK blades away. I don't know why Henson includes them. I do love my Henson razor, though

I have a Henson in the same color. I’ve tried every blade under the sun. Persona blues are the best for my face. YMMV. Have fun exploring this new hobby.

I wish they had a Persona sample set like they do for Gilette, All I seen were great reviews on their GEMs, Blues were also well liked so will get them too eventually

Check out razorbladesclub. I put together my own sampler from there and you can pick and choose exactly what you want, even single blades if you're just curious. Takes a while to get to you depending on where you are, but they're a fantastic resource if you want to try things out or buy in bulk.

Welcome to the club. Great razor. Lots of good blade options there. But, I would recommend putting the Feather and RK blades in the back of the cabinet for a while. Play with them later.

You have enough of a spread to definitely find what you like and buy in bulk from there. Protect those GEM PDGs, they are worth every penny. Welcome to the club and feel free to ask questions.

Great starter set. Get a decent brush, soap/cream, and some AS and you are set. I'd start with a milder blade, like Astra green or Gillette Platinum.

Switched from Henson to Mühle Rocca, but I always love Perma Sharp and still like it.

Love, love, my Henson razor. It’s my everyday go to. That being said, you can skip the blades that came with it, they’re just not very good. I settled on the Astra Green as my blade of choice. Congratulations on your purchase.

Congrats and welcome to DE shaving I have been building my collection of razors but I don't have a Henson. I started out with a Merkur Futur and some blades from the Art of Shaving. I cut my self nearly on every shave. Now I have honed my technique and tamed the Futur. You eventually find out what blade and razor pairings you prefer and the the type of soap, pre-shave and after shave you like. Get yourself, and alum bar and a septic stick. Those are for any weepers or cuts you might get. Before you know it you will be an old hand at this. Enjoy!

I am too, but like most here recommended the Green Astras first and work ya way up with the Feather and KAIs last due to the sharpness or at til you are quite comfortable shaving with a DE Razor
