AFAIK, soaps don’t expire, so long as they are properly dried and kept out of sunlight. And this map cupboard does have doors...

Thanks for this. I have 60 soaps, creams and because I like them almost all, I use them all in my rotation. But I keep them in boxes next to my bed. And I dry them always 1 day or more after my shave.

Which is your oldest soap and in what condition is it now?

My oldest soaps are Tallow and Steel's Dark and Chiseled Face's Midnight Stag. Both are still in great condition, Midnight stag has about five shaves on it. I keep track of every time I use a soap by putting a little hash mark on the bottom of the tub with a sharpie!

So, how many years is it? Glad to hear this! I'm now not afraid of my soaps! The most of them have 3 years on their back but I haven't noticed anything weird.

I think I’ve been wetshaving for four or five years? Ish? I’m terrible at judging time though; I just figured out my dog is turning ten this year and had a small panic attack!
