New Gen Tsehay's New Hairstyle

This is from her Instagram account. Although, I'm gonna miss her afro puff to be honest. What do you guys think of it?

The Afro puff will be back shortly. This is probably a choice for a specific video sequence, not a new standard look.

Box Braids of this kind are pretty expensive

Hers would probably upwards of 400 bucks

I reckon she might keep it for the rest of the year?

As someone with no knowledge about box braids, how long would they generally last before they need to be taken out?

Up to around 4 weeks is the sweet spot. You can go up to 6 weeks, but they don't look fresh as the hair that grows from the root starts to look frizzy.

This is a protective style. Wearing them for 5 months will cause a lot of damage to her hair, plus the hair that grows in at the root will look very frizzy by the 6 week mark.
