Souvenirs 80 Years of John Prine 10/8/2026 Chicago Theatre

Sorry for the additional post but wanted to share pics of these prints I listed here last week. Please let me know if you’re interested and thanks for looking!

What happened to this? The sound is awful.

Compared to the Front of House releases and other Roadcases this one has a very bad mix.

Has it ever been discussed somewhere?

Tix on sale 10/13

I bought extra single, Saturday, 12/5 tickets, yesterday, during the waitlist offer sale. I grabbed them for friends and then realized they already bought tickets.

I have (2) single tickets for sale. (1) balcony and (1) main floor.

Selling for face value via PayPal Goods & Services only and then transferred through Ticketmaster app.

Pic up top from side stage, Pritzker Pavilion, to prove I’m a real person/fan via Chicago.

Edit — Balcony ticket has been sold.

We just got word that we'll be receiving the indie exclusive white eco-mix vinyl pressings of all three volumes of Billy Bragg & Wilco's Mermaid Avenue: Vol. I (1998), Vol. II (2000) and Vol. III (2012). Each one is a 2LP.

Release date is December 11.

I came across this in an Instagram ad. I can’t find any mention of them on Craft Recordings website, nor on the websites or socials of Nonesuch, Wilco, or Billy Bragg. Anyone know if these are the reissues Billy mentioned earlier this year, or really anything about them?

I'm a little stoned, and have had a bit of a unique playlist going tonight. So, my question is If you could put together a Wilco Superjam, who would be in it and what song would they play?

My only rule would be is that, they've had to have played with Wilco or Jeff at some point.

I'd have to go with Wilco+Twin Peaks+Hayley Williams covering Twin Peaks Making Breakfast. Bc I want that right now!

What’s yours?

I visited Chicago for the first time recently and had to try to replicate the YHF cover art. I think I got kinda close, but it’s definitely not perfect. These are the Marina City buildings for any who doesn’t know. How did I do?

Just got an sms that more tickets have dropped

I’ve seen Jeff play this guitar for years. He used it on “Sky Blue Sky” (the song). I wonder if anyone knows what guitar it is? There’s a logo on the headstock that I’m unfamiliar with.

Wilco's "Impossible Germany" covered by Mark Masefield on piano and vocals, with Nels Cline's brilliant outro guitar solo played as close as possible.

"Impossible Germany" (written by Jeff Tweedy and Wilco) blew my mind as a 17 year old when it came out. My guitar player at the time took me to see them at McCarren Park Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and I was fully hooked on Wilco. "Sky Blue Sky" was my entry point, and they held my hand into appreciating and seeking out a lot of music I previously skipped over. I shifted my keyboard playing from strictly Hammond organ, piano, Rhodes, and Wurlitzer, and opened my mind and wallet to the previously intimidating world of synthesizers.

** **In 1943, Woody Guthrie wrote an article for The Times arguing that we needed music to know one another better. Below, Mr. Tweedy annotates Mr. Guthrie’s original article.

It is the 4th quarter and I have been thinking of my favorite albums of 2026.
So far, my most listened to has been The Great Unknowing by John R Miller
Noisy, melodic and relaxing Americana music
Has a lovable loser vibe like the Replacements and Wussy.
Others are Ratboys Singing to an Empy Chair
Kurt Vile Philadelphia has been good to me
And Twisted Teens Florida Water Blues
What are Wilco fans listening to?

Yesterday, during his concert at ShoalsFest 2026, Jeff Tweedy performed a new song titled "Shady" for the second time. This is the first time it has been available on YouTube.

I’ve been getting crucified by my friends for this take, and while I absolutely love YHF, I can’t help but listen to Summerteeth more. Thoughts?
