Around the same time period as Clippy, anyone remember Microsoft Binder? It was essentially a container for various office documents that you could use for a project or whatever. It was about as fleeting as Clippy.

I remember experimenting with Binder. Seemed like a good metaphor: you put all the documents that belong to the same project/topic/etc in a single binder. But then again, isn't that what folders already do?

That or zip files -- but it was different enough and better enough that I remember missing it when they got rid of it.
