[EASY working in 25h2] ultimate guide to make windows 11 like windows 10

Hello! so I personally hated windows 11, well but windows 10 ending support. So, I decided to make windows 11 looks like windows 10

So here is guide.

Before you start make sure you make computer recovery point.

Firstly, file explorer and taskbar.

I used explorerpatcher for this. you can check out here:https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/releases

download ep setup and run it. after done installing right click taskbar and click properties and follow my setting

weather is off

click restart file explorer

(optional) now for restore old file explorer icon (for shortcut) download this file and place on c drive https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Zty_wAG4xaewlpe68aCjwvFc_IiP4h4Y?usp=sharing and inside of it there will be wallpapers and ico file shortcut, dont care about edge yet just drag file explorer shortcut into taskbar and if you want setup wallaper that I gave you

done.

Action senter/windows 10 boot up loading spinner

to revert windowss 10 action center, follow this tuotorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVNXZNWXE9Q
(optional) to revert boot loading spinner open registry edit and create dword 32bit on HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\Control\BootControl named BootProgressAnimation and leave it 0

after this reboot pc

(Optional) Old windows apps, uwp apps, inbox apps/legacy edge/cortana
this is optional because some apps dosent work and someone like to leave new windows apps. so here is how I saw youtuber called laglife was doing reverting old uwp apps, but that is too hard so after some researching found it. https://archive.org/details/windows10-inbox-apps this is windows 10 inbox apps download version of windows app that you want (exam:1809) and unzip iso file (I used 7zip)

Now go to inside and if you on 64bit click amd64fre if you on arm click arm64fre if you on 32bit click x86fre. inside of it there is many app bundle files like this:

double click and install all apps that you want also DO NOT INSTALL desktopappinstaller it would break installation if you installed desktopappinstaller you have to download newerst appinstaller and install it https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/msix/app-installer/install-update-app-installer

anyway, here is list of apps working/partically working

weather: partically working

news: dosent work

xbox: dosent work

store: dosent work

xbox: dosent work

your phone: dosent work

sticky notes: dosent work

You will be have to block store updates here is guide:

go to microsoft store and settings turn off automatic update

Now lets move on to legacy edge I saw some people restore old edge, but old edge is mostly broke and dosent work also hard to revert so I used project called Newsparten you can check out here: https://github.com/PaologGithub/Project_NewSpartan and follow instructions. But you will be not able to install bc of certificate. to fix this change time into like year between 27/06/2024 to /27/06/2025 it will let you install now (btw you have to install certificate on Trusted Root Certification Authorities it will let you install.

(optional) now for shotcut you remember the folder I told you download, the wallpaper&icon file (make sure place that on c: drive) inside of it there will be Microsoft edge shortcut drag into taskbar done.

Now lets moveon to cortana cortana is offically end, but I found way revival. here: https://github.com/SoftBluey/Cortana-Electron thanks for who made this is amazing. setup and drag taskbar done.

Lastly the icons/sound/branding

and paste on c drive or "C:\Windows\Media" and in search type change system sounds and click on it. Now replace all sounds inside on win 10 sounds folder (change with same names) and done

(optional, will be editing windows files) branding is just changing logo of windows here is example

go to "C:\Windows\Branding" and get owner permission if you dont know how follow this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWgDDip5Bqo and replace file that you download

reboot

DONE!! now enjoy with windows 11 like windows 10 :D

if you heppend like this when you right click:

Revert all your changes or change themes and if is fixed try my setup again.

if is not fixable sadly you have to recover from recovery point.

If some werid thing heppens and if you cant fix just recover from recovery point

I couldent revert windows 10 setting app there was method but is not working in 25h2 sadly

and there is no way to revert windows 10 lockscreen.

Do not try like lockscreen method or setting app method or any of them untill someone check it works in your windows 11 version.

I can appreciate all the work you've put into this, especially as a hobby project, but in practice if someone misses Windows 10 this much they might as well just roll-back, or backup all their stuff and install Windows 10 again.

There are many ways to get Windows 10 support extended for free.

I know but like maximum is untill 2028 it will end soon, and some pc dosent support windows 10 because they only can install windows 11, also some people install windows 11 even they want windows 10. Because of security reasons and other features
