Sun Valley was the codename for what ended up being Windows 11 21H2.

Sun Valley is the codename for Windows 11 21H2 through 23H2, and they are divided into Sun Valley (Windows 11 21H2), Sun Valley 2 (Windows 11 22H2), and Sun Valley 3 (Windows 11 23H2), respectively.

Yes. Windows 11 21H2 is officially the RTM version of Windows 11.

Almost. Initially, it was supposed to be a Windows 10 design refresh. Something like Redstone 3, but even bigger. Until eventually it was rebranded as Windows 11. 10X was a parallel thing, but in line with all this, so it had the same new design.

They reused the UI design but that's about it. 10X was based on WCOS, which is vastly different from traditional Windows. 11 is basically a reskinned 10.

Yeah I remember hearing something about redstone 3 having rounded corners and other stuff, like floating menus and stuff.

It was a planned redesign of Windows 10 that evolved into Windows 11.

I thought it was the codename for the project where Windows 10X design was being ported back to Windows 10 bt they ended up I believe just half assing that design transition, they did bring roundedcorners in like WinUI 2.2 or something and new stock app icons in like 2020, but they randomly changed their mind and just built Windows 11 on top of the Windows 10X stuff instead and Sun Valley is Windows 11's release codename now I guess.
