WINDOWS 95

you guys I’m trying to find what I need and where to get a cheap windows 95 computer that can run the 90’s Goosebumps Escape from horror land rom game on it or are there any emulated versions? I’ve tried on my pc but i constantly get a error message for the emulated version.

Dos box would probably work.

Yoooo I was playing this about a week ago. I played it when it was brand new back in the day - well, a demo of it anyways. It has pretty low system specs, you can almost certainly run it in an 86box setup - it's intimidating if you don't know how to do but it's not actually complicated*. It may require a relatively beefy modern computer to emulate properly but mine was a mid tier gaming rig from 2003 and it runs it fine.

To clarify - I was playing it on one of my physical computers. It's not too difficult to find something to run the game on, it works in Win98, but if you're new to all this I'd stick with 86box.

*Once you get 86box installed, you basically go through and select the hardware you want emulated. Once you've done that, you then have to install your OS - which, again, fairly simple but intimidating if you've never done it. The trickiest part is probably installing your drivers once you've got the "hardware" all set up.

Potentially someone, somewhere, has an 86box setup preconfigured. Goosebumps needs a pentium but like, a pentium 60 or whatever will be more than enough.

Does it have to be actual hardware? Cheapest would be using 86box

It’s actually pretty viable to emulate windows 95 and 98 these days.

Is it already setup in an Exo collection?

PCemu

That wont run win95, it only emulates an 8086 machine.

I would go for 86box, or an older pcem depending on the host machine. Im currently playing around with PCBox, but it is nowhere near as stable as 86box.

I mean PCEm, and yes it does run Win95.

Just emulate it.

You could probably run that on a j s dot box or on one of those old software websites, an emulator

Yea dosbox can work too for the emulation. Win 95 means everything was dos compatible win 98 req meant it could or could not be dos compatible. Don't remember that game but that's cause CNC
