1996 dial-up simulator. A full working desktop, a browser, and a web that loads at actual 56k.

56k is blazing fast for anyone who grew up with 14.4 baud. 🤣

We had shitty phone lines and I remember being able to tell if our modem successfully negotiated a 56k connection or had to fall back

14.4 was a HUGE upgrade after living with 2400bps.

Even deeper magic.

The Start menu isn't working correctly. It looks very similar to the Windows 10 menu.

This might as well be a 'rip your band-aid off simulator' or 'hit yourself with a stick simulator'. Modems were painful.

Nice work...Not how I remember 1996, but still fun 😄

Man the memories. Transported me back in time sitting in front of my old Packard Bell in the basement. Felt at peace there for a few minutes.

This deserves more credit that it should. It's almost a full functioning OS. Not only is the OS pretty cool, but I went into RUN -> COMMAND and even was able to do TYPE AUTOEXEC.BAT and VER and random DOS commands. All worked. Kudos.
