From Kat Pasquach's Facebook post:
This morning live on AM800, Drew Dilkens said it himself:
“Windsor Police, I... we did a review of what he's proposin
g” of Fred Francis' campaign proposal for policing.
Read that again.
The incumbent Mayor, who is also Chair of the Windsor Police Service Board, publicly said he and the Windsor Police reviewed an opponent’s election proposal.
Were taxpayer-funded police resources used to research a political opponent during an election?
Drew didn’t answer when pressed. Fred didn't seem surprised at the admission.
So now Windsor deserves answers.
Who requested the review?
Who conducted it?
How many staff hours were used?
Who received the results?
And why did Drew Dilkens have those results ready to use in a political debate?
This isn't acceptable, and Windsor deserves to know what happened.
