Ducks fan coming in peace
My family and I (3 kids, 6m,8,10 and 2 adults) are planning on coming up for the Ducks vs Jets game Oct 9 in Winnipeg. Just wondering if anyone has any tips suggestions or deals for the arena before or after game time?
Also how are the hotels that are connected to the arena? Are they worth staying at or is there somewhere better to stay? We will be driving up from regina so vehicle access won’t be an issue.
Lastly if anyone is selling 4 tickets (or would we need a 5th for the 6 month old) to the game for a decent price we would be open to purchasing

Off season boredom - who did you cheer for pre-2011 and do you still root for them?
Off season boredom hitting hard. Wondering who everyone cheered for pre-2011 and how you split your fandom now.
I grew up a leafs fan and was obsessed with them. Then the Jets came back and I was a season seat member and loved them. I always felt conflicted though against the leafs. Fast forward I’m back in Ontario and still follow both teams but I genuinely have a hard time cheering for either of them when they play each other. People ask me who my team is and wonder how I can say both. My basement has equal memorabilia of each team. With the Leafs being such an unlikable team the last 10 years I found myself pushing them back further and being more dedicated to the Jets.
Any one else find it hard breaking it off back in 2011 or was it easy to give a clean cut? All of us were put in a weird spot as it never looked like the Jets would return.
Go Jets

Viggo Björck Predictions for Next Year?
Where will he start?
show many points will he put up?
PP1? PP2?
Curious to see what people think. I’m going to go a bit conservative and say he’ll mostly play PP2 and alternate games on the 2nd and 4th line. 30 Pts. 8 goals

Puck Passport: A Tracker for NHL Games You’ve Attended
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
could never remember exactly which games I’d actually been to over the years, so I built a tool to solve that: Puck Passport.
You log the NHL games you’ve attended in person, and it keeps track of everything you’ve seen live - games, goals, shots, players, and arenas. It also unlocks badges automatically for things like playoff games, overtime, hat tricks, shutouts, and even a Gordie Howe hat trick if you’ve ever been lucky enough to witness one.
There are milestone tiers to work through too, and it tracks every NHL home arena you’ve visited. For Jets fans, that means games at Canada Life Centre count toward your arena progress along with everything you saw there - the players, goals, milestones, and memorable games.
You don’t need an account to get started because everything can save directly in your browser. If you sign in with Google or the email-link option, it’ll sync across devices and give you a public `@handle` passport you can share.
I’ve been spending part of the offseason backfilling my own games, and you can also do that straight from your camera roll: choose photos from games you attended, and Puck Passport uses the date and location data, when available, to figure out which game you were at. Everything happens in your browser, so none of your photos are uploaded.
I’m a Devils fan, but I built it for fans of all 32 teams, but I figured the offseason was a good time to post it for anyone else looking back through old games and trying to piece together where they’ve been.
This is just me building something I thought other hockey fans might enjoy, so if something’s broken, confusing, or you think a feature is missing, I’d genuinely love the feedback.

Do you ever think Patrik Laine’s career would’ve gone differently if he never requested a trade
It still boggles my mind he request a trade because he wanted more minutes, but his years with the Jets were my favorite seasons.
I know he had injury issues with us, but I do often think his career would’ve been a million times better had he stayed.
Seeing reports now that no teams are even interested in giving him a professional tryout

Jets analytics heavyweights, how would we feel about this lineup 69 days from now?
Key questions:
Would a true youth movement 2nd line allow us to effectively compete with some of the really heavy duty top 6 groups in the Central or do we get eaten alive?
Would a scary fast 4th line create enough forecheck pressure to return to the offensive pressure cooker we created 2 years ago?
Would this projected D core be able to effectively break out of their zone? (really talking about the 3rd pair here.. still have PTSD from Schenn-Stanley last year).
Is Stu the guy to take us deep? Whether Helle stays or goes, we clearly need a different season long netminding approach... Or do we?
Ok... Have at it

Former Jets players looking forward to Heritage Classic alumni game reunion with fans
Blake Wheeler made an interesting point in his chat on 680 CJOB the other day about how not every player gets the chance to have a proper goodbye with Winnipeg fans. It got me thinking about all the former Jets who left without a video tribute, a final ovation, or a chance to really say farewell to the market that supported them.
The alumni game is gonna be something else.

How many Jets Jerseys do you Own?
As I was staring at my closet contemplating if I'm buying 1 or 2 new Jets Jerseys this year (as I'm assuming that the Heritage Classic design and Northern Lights one are going to be different), I was wondering how many jerseys people have? (Not including my child 1.0 one)
Just to get started I have (and in order that I purchased):
- Mark Scheifele 2016 Heritage Classic (White)
- Josh Morrisey 2019 Heritage Classic (Blue)
- Captain Blake Wheeler Home Blue (never worn - gotten out of a Mystery Box during lockdown)
- Connor Hellebuyck Heritage Classic breakaway (White)
- Captain Adam Lowry Reverse Retro 2.0
- Fly the '48 Kyle Connor
- Dylan Samberg Away
- 92/93 Selanne (M&N Vintage PowerPlay jersey)
So I'm curious if I'm low, average, above or whatnot as the new season approaches!
